Police reports are obtained through the Records and Data Processing Unit.
The records bureau can be reached via email at policerecords@manalapanpolice.org.
The reports generated by officers on the road are subjected to a review process. This process causes the release of records to be delayed. Anyone requesting a report should call first to ascertain if the report is ready for release.
The numbers to contact for this are 732-446-1714 or 732-446-8375. Generally you can expect that it will take five business days to be available for release.
Any police report involving criminal conduct can not be released as it is an investigatory record which is exempt from the Open Public Records Act (OPRA).
We will give a cover sheet with certain information redacted so that a victim can satisfy any insurance claim requirement.
