In order to obtain a Firearms Identification Card and/or Firearm, you must meet the eligibility requirements and comply with the Statutes which govern firearms purchases in the State of New Jersey. All Firearms applications for residents of Manalapan Township are handled through the Police Departments Firearms Licensing Unit staffed by the Firearms ID Officer: Lieutenant Lloyd Drucker (Ret.). The unit is within the police departments’ Administration Division lead by Captain Edward Niesz. In order to process your application please complete: the application for a Firearms Purchaser Identification Card / Handgun Purchaser Permits, and the Consent for Mental Health Records Search Form. These forms are in PDF Format and will only be accepted if they are in type written form, (PDF Filled). Please do not sign the Consent for Mental Health Records Search; this must be signed in person.
Bring the completed form with you during the below listed hours and turn them in to the Firearms ID Officer.
