POLICE BLOTTER

All residents are urged to lock the doors to their vehicles and DO NOT leave keys and key fobs in their vehicles.  The township is experiencing periodic motor vehicle thefts where the owners are leaving the key fobs locked in their vehicles.  Auto thieves use a sophisticated device which informs them the fob is present in the car and they can easily take the vehicle.  

 

14MN36164 - Driving While Intoxicated

 

On Saturday December 20, 2014 at 2:00 am, Ptl. Jennie Hensley observed a 2014 Jeep Cherokee make a left turn through a red light at the intersection of Taylors Mills and Route 9.  The vehicle was stopped and the driver, 41-year-old white female Old Bridge resident, Karen Buffone was found to be driving while intoxicated.  Buffone, who is employed as a teacher, was placed under arrest, processed at headquarters, issued several motor vehicle summonses and was released. 

 

14MN36092 – Warrant Arrest

On December 19, 2014 at 12:17 pm, Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky stopped a vehicle with a suspended registration.  The operator of the vehicle was found to have two outstanding warrants out of Trenton for $120.00 and $543.00.  Arrested was David Stimon, 28-year-old, white male resident of Trenton employed as a tow dispatcher.  He posted bail and was released.  

 

14MN36084 - Arrest Warrant

On December 19, 2014 at 9:40 am, Keren Rivlin, a 36-year-old white female, Manalapan resident who is unemployed, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and found to have an outstanding warrant out of Holmdel Township Municipal Court in the amount of $250.00.  Rivlin was arrested and transported to headquarters, where she was processed and released after posting bail.  Ptl. Reggie Grant handled the arrest.

 

14MN36060 - Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Assault of Police Officer, Terroristic Threats, Obstruction of Justice

On Thursday, December 18, 2014 at 6:20 pm, Ptl. John Lightbody responded to Dortmunder Drive in reference to a hit and run motor vehicle accident.  Ptl. Lightbody located the suspect vehicle in front of a residence on Dortmunder Drive.  Contact was made with the individual, who refused to provide his driver’s license and was found to be intoxicated.  After being identified as the driver of the vehicle, Wail Madbouly, 54-year-old white male Manalapan resident, was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters for processing.  While at headquarters, Madbouly refused to cooperate with processing and assaulted and threatened another officer.  Madbouly was subsequently charged with and charged with Driving While Intoxicated, Obstruction of Justice, Aggravated Assault of a Police Officer, and Terroristic Threats, in addition to numerous motor vehicle summonses, pending a future court date.

 

14MN36051 – Warrant Arrest

On December 18t, 2014 at 4:15 pm, Daniel R. Fishman, an 18-year-old white male, Manalapan resident who is a student, turned himself in on an active traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $215.00.  Daniel was processed and posted the full bail amount and was released with a pending court date.  Ptl. Christopher Olesky handled the arrest.   

 

14MN35845 – Endangering Welfare, Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault

On Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 12:17 am, Det. D. Donatelli, Jr. charged Jonathan “Joe” Plummer, a 42-year-old black male Howell, New Jersey resident who is self-employed with Endangering the Welfare of a Child and Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault.  The investigation revealed that Plummer had sent a juvenile female text messages of a sexual nature, offered her money, and attempted to arrange a meeting with the juvenile for sexual purposes   Superior Court Judge, Francis J. Vernoia set bail for the charges at $75,000 cash with a no 10% option.  Plummer was transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute in default of bail.

 

14MN35876 – Criminal Mischief

On Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at approximately 11:50 pm, an unknown person caused damage to a Greenleaf Drive resident’s vehicle, specifically by breaking the rear window, the driver’s side-view mirror, and attempted to break the driver’s side front and rear windows leaving scrapes and gauges.  The unknown person may have been on foot in the area approximately 40 minutes prior to the incident.  The suspect was seen fleeing on foot immediately after the incident and then entered a black two-door vehicle.  The vehicle, which was parked on Greenleaf Drive, drove off with no headlights on.  Anyone who may have more information regarding the vehicle or suspect’s description please contact    Ptl. 14MN35862 - Motor Vehicle Collision

On December 16, 2014 at 3:46 pm, this agency responded to Pension Rd. and Globar Terrace for a motor vehicle crash involving a Manalapan/Englishtown school bus and a 1992 Pontiac Grand Am.  The school bus was carrying 27 students from Milford Brook Elementary School.  None of the students were injured, however the juvenile male driver of the Grand Am was taken to Centra State for minor injuries.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella investigated the incident. 

 

14MN35858 - Warrant

On December 16, 2014 at 1:48 pm, Daniel Spector, a 60-year-old white male Ocean Township NJ resident, who is self-employed, turned himself in on an active warrant out of Manalapan Township.  He posted bail and was released.  The arrest was handled by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.  

 

14MN35855 - ID Theft

On December 16, 2014 at 1:48 pm, the victim, a 59-year-old retired Manalapan resident, responded to this agency in reference to Identity theft.  He related that in October 2014, an unknown actor(s) used his personal information to open a Comcast account in his name.  The incident is currently under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.   

 

14MN35783 – Theft, Uttering a Forgery, Identity Theft

 On December 15, 2014 at 3:27 pm, Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky met with a 31-year-old black female resident of Manalapan, who related that an unknown actor cashed her check from Social Services in the amount of $200.00.  This case is currently under investigation.    

 

14MN35760 – Structure Fire

On December 15, 2014 at 11:29 am, patrols responded to the Wendy’s located at 197 Route 9 south for a report of a deep fryer fire.  Upon the officer(s) arrival, the restaurant was already evacuated and no injuries were reported.  Gordon’s Corner Fire Company and the Englishtown Fire Company responded and were able to contain and extinguish the fire.  The fire was located at a deep fryer station and the damage was contained to that general area.  Monmouth County Fire Marshals deemed the fire accidental.  The Wendy’s will remain closed for the day for cleanup, and will re-open at the determination of the Manalapan Township Health Department.  Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the incident.     

 

14MN35756 - Warrant

On 12/15/2014, at approximately 10:00 am, Alexis Taylor, a 26-year-old Manalapan Township resident employed as a waitress, turned herself in at Manalapan Police Headquarters for a $485.00 outstanding warrant out of Ocean Township.  Taylor was process and released after posting the full bail amount.  Ptl. Robert Kelly handled the arrest.   

 

14MN35749 - MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT

On December 15, 2014 at 8:12 am, a Manalapan resident parked his vehicle, a 2011 blue Toyota Sequoia in the Union Hill Road Wawa parking lot and left the vehicle running while he entered the store.  Upon returning to his vehicle, the victim discovered his vehicle missing. While reviewing security surveillance a subject wearing a hooded jacket, jeans, and white sneakers was observed to enter the victim’s vehicle once the victim entered the store and drove away.  Anyone with information please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732 446-4300.  Ptl. 14MN35529 - Warrant Arrest

On 12-12-14 at 1:02 pm, Nisarg Shah, a 31-year-old Indian male from Monmouth Junction, who is employed as a manager, was arrested at the Municipal Court on an outstanding traffic warrant from Manalapan in the amount of $430.00.  He was released after posting bail.  Ptl. Jean Letts handled the arrest. 

 

14MN35565 – Possession of CDS / Underage Alcohol

On Friday December 12, 2014, at approximately 9:00 pm, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2014 Toyota Camry.  The passenger, a 17-year-old white male Manalapan resident, was found to be in possession of marijuana and an open container of alcohol.  The passenger was arrested, transported to headquarters, processed, and then released to his parent, pending a future court date with Monmouth County Family Court.

 

14MN35546 – Warrant Arrest

On Friday December 12, 2014, at approximately 4:30 pm, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2002 Chevy Malibu.  The driver, Helise Black, a 51-year-old unemployed white female Manalapan resident, was found to have an active warrant from Monmouth County Sheriffs Office with no bail.  The front seat passenger, Justin Black, 23-year-old white male unemployed Manalapan resident was also found to have an active criminal warrant from Camden for $500.  Both subjects were arrested and transported to headquarters.  Helise Black was processed then transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution to be held until court.  Justin Black was processed then released and given a new court date.  Ptl. Jeff Emslie assisted in the arrest.  

 

14MN35524 - Possession of CDS and paraphernalia

On Friday December 12, 2014 at approximately 12:10 pm, Ptl. John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pension Road after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The driver, Benjamin Chistov, a 24-year-old white male importer from Manalapan Township, was found to be in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Benjamin was transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to be processed where he was charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, along with several motor vehicle summonses.  Benjamin was released pending a future court date.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest. 

 

14MN35528 - Burglary, Theft

On 12/12/2014 at 12:45 pm, Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky responded to New Beginnings Crossing for a report of a residential burglary.  It was discovered that while the homeowner (45-year-old white male resident of Manalapan) was away, unknown actor(s) broke a rear sliding door glass window to the residence.  Removed from the home were jewelry and several other items valued at approximately $20,000.  This case is pending further investigation. 

 

14MN35543 - Warrant

On 12/12/2014 Malika E. Hendricks, a 30-year-old black female Manalapan resident employed as a nurse, turned herself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $164.00.  She posted bail, was processed, and released.  Ptl. Jeff Emslie handled the arrest. 

 

14MN35517 - Warrant Arrest

On Friday December 12, 2014, at approximately 10:26 am, Christopher Salisbury, a 25-year-old white male construction worker from Jackson, NJ, turned himself in to the Manalapan Township Police Department on an active traffic warrant.  The $133.00 warrant was issued out of the Clifton Municipal Court.  Salisbury was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest. 

 

14MN35506 - Warrant Arrest

On 12-12-14 at 6:41 am, Rafaela O. Hubbard, a 36 year old, Black female program instructor from Manalapan, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 522 and Main Street in Manalapan.  Rafaela was later found to have two outstanding traffic warrants from Manalapan Township for $160.00 and $110.00, respectively.  Rafaela was unable to post the full bail amount and was processed, and later released on her own recognizance pending a new court date.  Ptl. J. Morgan Joiner handled the arrest.

 

14MN35441 – Warrant Arrest

On 12/11/2014 at 9:24 am, Salvatore Labarbera, a 41-year-old white male from Sayreville, who is a Security Officer, was arrested in municipal court on an outstanding warrant from Manalapan in the amount of $1000.00.  He was released after posting bail.  Ptl. Ross Dessel handled the arrest.  

 

14MN35385 – Warrant Arrest

On Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at approximately 4:40 pm Ptl. Brian Belardo conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road.  During the stop, the passenger Brian Ferrari (48-year-old white male body shop manager, Matawan resident), was found to have two outstanding Traffic warrants out of Hazlet and Irvington.  The bail for each warrant was $750.00.  Ferrari was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.

 

14MN35329 – Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at approximately 11:40 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on a suspicious vehicle, in the Chester Brook Academy parking lot.  During the motor vehicle stop, it was determined that the passenger, Melissa Langos, an unemployed 44 year old white female of Englishtown, had an active traffic warrant out of Freehold Twp for $290.00.  Ms. Langos was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters, where she was processed and released after posting the required bail.   

 

14MN35322 - Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday December 9, 2014, at approximately 10:28 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta was dispatched to the lobby of the Manalapan Township Police Department in regards to a male subject turning himself in on an outstanding arrest warrant.  The male subject was identified as a 30-year-old black male Rahway resident, Kelvin K. Vaughan.  An active warrant issued out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00 was located.  Vaughan who works as a laborer, was arrested, processed, and released after a bail bond was posted.

 

14MN35284 – Warrant Arrest

On 12/09/2014 at 3:37 pm, Joao Torres, a 23-year-old white male from Monroe, was arrested at the Municipal court on an outstanding warrant from Manalapan in the amount of $500.00.  While being processed a second warrant in the amount of $2500.00 out of Millstone Township was located.  The subject was turned over to Millstone Township Municipal Court for a hearing on the bail for their warrant.  Ptl. Brian Cruse handled the arrests.

 

14MN35274 - Warrant Arrest

On 12-9-14 at 11:45 am, Vladimir Sylne a 38-year-old, Black male from Jersey City, who is employed as a teacher, turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $1000.00.  Sylne posted bail, was processed, and released.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman handled the arrest.  

 

14MN35201 – Trespassing, Warrant Arrest

On 12/08/2014, Ptl. Christopher Makwinski and Ptl. Charles Mazzatto responded to 216 Woodward Road, Heritage Village, for a report of a subject who was trespassing.  The staff at Heritage Village advised that they saw a male subject enter a residence through the balcony.  The male was located and identified as Joseph Peixoto, a 44-year-old white unemployed Manalapan Township resident.  Joseph told patrols that his grandmother let him in to residence, which was confirmed by his grandmother.  A record check revealed an outstanding criminal warrant from Elizabeth, NJ for $250.00.  Joseph was transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released on his own recognizance.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the incident.

 

14MN35197 – Warrant Arrest

On 12/08/2014 Otmane Lamma, a self-employed 44-year-old Middle Eastern male from Revere Massachusetts turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $1000.00.  Otmane posted bail, was processed, and released.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.

 

14MN35182 - Warrant Arrest

On 12/8/14 at 10:14 am, Anthony Losapio, an unemployed, 51-year-old, White male from Freehold Township, turned himself in to this agency on an outstanding warrant.  Losapio posted the $190 bail, signed the bail waiver and was processed and released.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman handled the arrest.

 

14MN35109 - Warrant Arrest, NJ Wanted Persons

On December 7, 2014, at approximately 1:48 pm, Ptl. Edward Hedden located a subject with two active traffic warrants for his arrest, and a NJ Wanted Person’s Warrant from Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department.  The subject identified as Ofir Chait, a 38-year-old, self-employed white male, from Staten Island, NY, was placed under arrest.  He was transported to police headquarters where he was processed and posted bail in the amount of $340.00 for the active traffic warrants.  Due to there being no bail on the wanted person warrant, Ofir was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution where he was lodged to await extradition to the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department.

 

14MN35360 - Theft

On December 6, 2014 between 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm, an unknown subject took a package delivered to a residence on East Parsonage Way by the United States Postal Service from Amazon.com.  This package was said to contain a watch valued at $600.  The victim is a 48-year-old white male Manalapan Resident.  Ptl. Kenneth Mikulik handled the investigation.   

 

UPDATE

14MN32086 – Aggravated Assault, Assault with a Weapon, Hindering Apprehension

On Friday November 7, 2014, at approximately 1:30 am, police were called to the Applebee’s parking lot in reference to a large fight in progress.  During the altercation, an 18 yr old white male from Morganville was stuck with a motor vehicle.  The driver of the vehicle fled the scene on foot prior to police arrival.  The victim was transported to Centra-State Hospital for leg injuries.  Logan Mcguirl, 20-year-old white male from Marlboro, was charged with aggravated assault, assault by auto, and assault with a deadly weapon.  Christina Debellas 20-year-old white female from Manalapan, Jonathan Gorenstein 20-year-old white male from Morganville and Tyler Kennedy, 21-year-old white male from Marlboro were all charged with hindering apprehension.  All three were released on summonses.  Det. Charles Alaimo handled the investigation.      

 

14MN35053 - Burglary 

On Saturday December 6, 2014 at approximately 9:08 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta was dispatched to a Smock Court residence in regards to a burglar alarm activation.  Upon arrival, Patrolman Philip Accatatta located an open rear window and an open rear glass sliding door.  It was determined that, unknown actor(s) had cut out the exterior window screen and forced entry through the rear window into the basement.  The victim, who was not home at the time of the incident, was identified as a 41-year-old white female Manalapan resident.  The victim reported nothing was removed from the interior of the residence and it is believed the burglar alarm had scared off the unknown actor(s).  Anyone with information regarding this case is requested to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at (732) 446-4300.

 

14MN35044 - Vehicle Fire 

On December 6, 2014, at approximately 5:36 pm, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis responded to a residence on Stratford Drive for a motor vehicle on fire.  A 49 year old, white male of Manalapan attempted to start the vehicle, when it suddenly caught on fire.  The Gordon’s Corner Fire Department arrived on scene and extinguished the vehicle fire.  Manalapan Township Fire Marshal Mike Lennox determined the fire was accidental and due to a mechanical failure.  The residence was not damaged from the fire and no injuries were reported. 

 

14MN35024 - Assault 

On Saturday Dec. 6, 2014 at approximately 12:43 pm, the victim (a 64-year-old white male Annandale, NJ resident) reported that he was assaulted during a road rage incident.  The victim related that he was speaking with another driver on Route 9 South near Taylors Mills Road, about a potential motor vehicle offense.  The other driver allegedly spit in the victim’s face.  The incident is currently under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.  

 

14MN34983 – Harassment 

On Friday, December 5, 2014, at 6:48 pm, a 26-year-old white female resident of Manalapan Township reported that she has been receiving harassing phone calls for the past six months.  During the harassing phone calls, the caller attempted to obtain the victim’s personal information.  The case is pending investigation by Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky.  

 

14MN34963 - Warrant Arrest 

On Friday, December 5, 2014 at approximately 1:20 pm, Scot Hartman, a 42-year-old self-employed white male, from Freehold, NJ, responded to The Manalapan Township Police Department to turn himself in on an active traffic warrant issued for his arrest.  The warrant was out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $750.00.  Hartman was able to post bail, and was processed and released pending a new court date.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest. 

 

14MN34906 - Driving While Intoxicated 

On Thursday, December 4, 2014 at approximately 8:57 pm, Ptl. Bartholomew Mattaliano stopped to assist a disabled motorist on Church Lane.  A subsequent investigation found the driver of the vehicle, Justin Stetka, a 36-year-old white male manager from Englishtown, NJ, to be driving while intoxicated.  Justin was placed under arrest and released after being issued summonses for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, and careless driving.   

 

14MN34886 – Theft, Fraud 

On Thursday, December 3, 2014, at approximately 5:27 pm, a black female entered the Walgreens located at 305 Route 33 and utilized stolen credit cards to purchase $1,015.56 worth of merchandise.  The suspect was described as a black female, approximately 25 to 30 years of age, having shoulder length light brown hair, and wearing a pink shirt covered by a grey sweatshirt.  Ptl. Richard Gallo is handling the investigation.   

 

14MN34866 - Warrant Arrest 

On Thursday December 4, 2014 at approximately 12:55 pm, The Manalapan Township Police Department was contacted by the New Jersey State Police in reference to a female they had under arrest for an active traffic warrant for $1,000.00 out of The Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  The female, Terese Forde, a 34-year-old white female hairdresser from Roselle, NJ, was transported to The Manalapan Township Police Department for processing.  Terese was processed and released on her own recognizance pending a future court appearance.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest. 

 

14MN34868 – Harassment 

On Thursday December 4, 2014, at approximately 1:08 pm, a 32-year-old white female, from Belmar, NJ, reported harassment from a 34-year-old white female from freehold, NJ.  The victim was harassed at her place of employment on Craig road in Manalapan Township by the individual.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the report.   

 

14MN34845 - Warrant Arrest 

On Thursday December 4, 2014, at approximately 9:30 am, Ptl. Bartholomew Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 East in the area of Sweatman’s Lane.  The driver Daniel Wolfe (34 year old, white male, unemployed, Manalapan resident) was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant for $290 dollars out of Howell Township Municipal Court.  Daniel was arrested, transported to headquarters where he was processed, posted bail, and released.   

 

14MN34821 - Warrant Arrest 

On Wednesday December 3, 2014 at 10:06 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Pease Road after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The operator was identified as 27-year-old black male Howell resident, John P. Anderson.  Anderson was determined to have a suspended New Jersey Drivers License and an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of the Middletown Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00.  A New Jersey Wanted Persons Hit was located for Anderson and it was determined he was wanted by the New Jersey State Police Troop “C” Hamilton Barracks for a Burglary.  Anderson was placed under arrest, processed, and turned over to the New Jersey State Police.  

 

14MN34714 – Identity Theft  

On Tuesday 12/02/2014, at approximately 11:12 am, the victim (a white 64-year-old retired female from Manalapan) reported identity theft.  The victim related that an unknown actor opened a bank account in her name without her permission.  The unknown actor then transferred all of the points with the victim’s current bank account to the fraudulent bank account.  This agency and the two banks that are involved are currently investigating this incident.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the report.   

 

14MN24205 – Shoplifting 

On Tuesday 12/2/2014 William Sivilli 3rd, a 31-year-old white male residing in Jackson was charged with shoplifting.  Sivilli was captured on video removing several cartons of cigarettes from the Wawa convenience store located on Woodward Road.  Patrols were able to identify Sivilli from previous encounters.  Det. Charles Alaimo investigated this incident.

 

14MN34656 – Fraud

 On Monday 12/01/2014 at 4:25 pm, a 69-year-old white male Manalapan resident reported that he was the victim of a check cashing scam.  The victim had received a job offer from a company who then requested that he deposit a company check into his personal account.  He was then instructed to withdraw the same amount and deposit it into a company account.  After depositing the money into the other account, it was learned that the original check was fraudulent and caused an overdraft on the victim’s account.  Ptl. 14MN34642 – Warrant Arrest 

On Monday 12/01/14 at 1:54 pm, Jason Dijols (a 20-year-old white male, shoe salesman from Manalapan) was arrested by this agency on an outstanding warrant for $500.00 out of Manalapan Township.  He was processed and was released after posting bail.  Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky handled the arrest.   

 

14MN34632 – Warrant Arrest 

On Monday 12/01/14 at 11:09 am, Gregory Denis, an unemployed 36-year-old black male from Newark, was arrested by this agency on an outstanding warrant for $5,000 out of the City of Newark, NJ.  He was released on his own recognizance after approval from the City of Newark Police Department and he was subsequently released.  Ptl. Ross Dessel handled the arrest.   

 

14MN34583 – Motor Vehicle accident US Route 9 South 

On Sunday November 30, 2014 at approximately 5:27 PM, Ptl. Chris Oleksy was dispatched to the area of US Route 9 South for a reported motor vehicle collision Patrols arrived on scene to observe a three-car collision with injuries.  Manalapan First Aid squad, Monroe First Aid squad, Gordon’s Corner Fire Company responded to the scene as well.  Manalapan Police shut down two lanes of travel north and south bound while first responders were on scene.  Gordon's Corner Fire Department was required to extricate one driver from the vehicle, who was then transported to Centra State Hospital.  No serious injuries were reported.  Ptl. Chris Oleksy is handling the investigation of the collision.

 

14MN34562 - Theft by deception 

On Sunday November 30, 2014, at approximately 1:40 pm, patrols responded to Wegman’s Food store for a shoplifter in custody.  Jeremy Walters, a 24-year-old white male resident of Old Bridge, employed as a clerk, was in custody for attempting to return merchandise that he took off the shelf and never paid for.  Jeremy was placed under arrest and transported to The Manalapan Township Police Department for processing.  Jeremy was charged with theft by deception and was released on his own recognizance pending a future court appearance.  The arrest was handled by Ptl. John Lightbody.     

 

14MN34630- Suspicious Person/Possession of an (Imitation) Firearm for an Unlawful Purpose

On December 1, 2014 at 10:38 am, patrols were dispatched to the intersection of Tennent Road and County Route 522 for a report of a suspicious male, wearing a Halloween type mask and a shoulder holster containing a pistol.  Upon the arrival of patrols, it was learned that the suspect/arrestee, Terrell C. Gray, a 30-year-old black male, Manalapan resident who is currently unemployed, was walking with his dog while wearing an exposed black “Air soft” pistol in the shoulder holster.  The pistol was unloaded at the time of the incident.  Gray was placed under arrest for Possession of an Imitation Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose and Harassment.  Upon his release from custody, he was transported to Centra State Medical Center for an evaluation.  This case is pending a future court appearance.  Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie handled incident.

 

  

14MN34499- Possession of Marijuana / Warrant

On 11/29/14 at 12:10 pm, Ptl. Kimberly Whitehill observed a tan Chevrolet Tahoe traveling north on Wilson Ave with a cracked windshield.  Ptl. Whitehill conducted a motor vehicle stop.  Upon further investigation, the driver identified as 26-year-old Richard McArthur of New Brunswick, NJ, Hispanic male, self-employed, who was found to be in possession of marijuana, and had an active warrant for $2000.00 out of New Brunswick.  McArthur was placed under arrest, transported to headquarters, processed, and was released on bail.  Ptl. Kimberly Whitehill handled the incident.

 

14MN34508- Theft

On 11-29-14 at 3:34 pm, a 54-year-old white female resident of Doe Drive responded to the Manalapan Township Police Department for a report of a theft.  The resident advised that five items totaling $1,749 were removed from her residence since September 2014.  Ptl. Richard Gallo is handling the investigation.  

 

14MN34422 - Dryer Fire

On Friday November 28, 2014, at approximately 12:34 pm, patrols responded to 5 Hancock Lane for report of white smoke coming from inside the residence.  Upon arrival, investigation revealed that the dryer inside the residence was on fire.  Ptl. Reginald Grant entered the residence and used fire extinguisher in attempt to extinguish the fire.  The Gordon’s Fire Department arrived and was able to put the fire out without incident.  Monmouth County Fire Marshall, Michael Lennox arrived on scene and determined that the cause of fire was accidental in nature, due to a dryer malfunction.  Dryer was removed from residence and the structure was deemed safe for the homeowner to return.  Incident handled by Ptl. Reginald Grant.

 

14MN34410- DUI

On Friday November 28, 2014 at approximately 10:10 am, patrols responded to the area of Route 9 South for a report of an erratic driver.  Ptl. Lightbody located the vehicle in question, and after observing a motor vehicle violation, conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9.  The driver of the vehicle, Stephanie Boller, a 45-year-old white female resident of Howell, who is employed as a sales associate, was found to be driving under the influence.  Stephanie was placed under arrest and transported to The Manalapan Township Police Department for processing.  Stephanie was released into the custody of a friend after being served with two motor vehicle summonses.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest.  

 

14MN34380 – Shoplifting

 On Thursday November 27, 2014 at 7:25 pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler arrested Kyle C. Olson (20-year-old unemployed white male who resides in Colts Neck) for shoplifting $94.99 in property from Best Buy.  The subject was seen concealing property on surveillance video into his pants by Best Buy loss prevention staff, and apprehended soon after  Olson was arrested, transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters, where he was processed, and later released on a summons to appear in court.  

 

14MN34346 – Possession of Heroin, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Intoxicated

 On 11/26/2014 at 7:58 pm, Ptl. Eric Voorand responded to Winthrop Drive for a report of a man passed out in a vehicle.  Upon arrival, the subject was passed out in the intersection of Winthrop Drive and Pinebrook Road.  The driver, Alan Ladd (38 year old white male, Manalapan Resident, Pipe Installer), was found to be under the influence of alcohol and drugs.  He was found to be in possession of heroin, methadone, a hypodermic needle, and drug paraphernalia.  He was arrested and served with complaint summonses for possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe, possession of prescription medication, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving while intoxicated, and various other motor vehicle violations.  Mr. Ladd also had an outstanding warrant in the amount of $1,160.00 from the Monmouth County Sheriffs Office.  He was subsequently lodged in the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of bail.  

 

14MN34302 – Warrant Arrest

 On 11/26/2014 at approximately 10:15 am, Douglas Staneck, a self-employed 41-year-old white male from Manalapan, turned him self in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $500.00.  Douglas posted bail, was processed, and released.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.

 

14MN34258 – Motor Vehicle Theft

 On 11/25/2014 at 7:30 pm, a 29-year-old white male Manalapan resident reported that his van was stolen while it was parked in front of his residence between 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm on 11/25/2014.  There was no sign of forced entry and the owner was in possession of the only key.  There were also various tools in the van.  The total amount of stolen property was $7650.  Ptl. Eric Voorand is investigating the incident.  On 11/27/2014, the vehicle was recovered by the Hamilton Township Police Department.  The investigation is continuing.

 

14MN34226 - Warrant Arrest

 On 11-25-14 at 2:16 pm, Benjamin Litowsky, a 49-year-old white male from Freehold, who is employed as an operations manager, turned himself in to this agency on an outstanding warrant for $164.  He posted the full cash bail, signed the bail waiver, and was released.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman handled the arrest. 

 

14MN34205 - Warrant Arrest

 On 11-25-14 at 10:24 am, Jasmine Jivani, a 45-year-old female from India, residing in Marlboro, who is currently unemployed, turned herself in to this agency on an outstanding warrant for $250.  She posted the full cash bail, signed the bail waiver, and was released.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman handled the arrest.

 

Incident 14MN34176- Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday November 25, 2014 at 12:22 am, Michael Chorman, a 47-year-old white construction worker from Jackson, NJ was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Rt. 9 South.  A further check revealed that Michael had an outstanding traffic warrant out of Englishtown for $164.  Michael was arrested, transported to headquarters, where he was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.  Ptl. Jason Vigneault handled the arrest.

 

Incident 14MN34151 – Harassment

 On Monday November 24, 2014 at 6:50 pm, a 50-year-old white female Manalapan resident reported receiving harassing and threatening text messages and voicemails from the girlfriend of her ex-boyfriend.  The victim declined to sign complaints at this time.  Ptl. Brian Cruse handled the investigation.

 

Incident 14MN34121 - Theft

 On Monday 11-24-14 at 1:47 pm, Patrolman Jeff Emslie responded to headquarters to meet with the 49-year-old white female Manalapan resident, in reference to a theft.  She related that on 11-19-14 an unknown actor(s) stole her ski jacket that she left behind at the Santander Bank on Union Hill Road.  The jacket is valued at $100.00.  The incident is under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie. 

 

Incident 14MN34109 – Burglary

 On Monday 11/24/2014 at approximately 10:56 am, a 51-year-old white property owner on the 100 block of Craig Road reported a burglary that occurred during the overnight hours.  The subject reported a first floor window was removed, but no items appeared to be missing from the building.  Detective Jared Aaronson and Ptl. Christopher Makwinski are investigating the incident.

 

Incident 14MN34099  –  Vandalism,  Criminal Attempt.

On Monday 11/24/2014 at approximately 9:00 am, a white 32-year-old Mr. Tire employee from Howell, reported vandalism to a vending machine.  It appeared during the over night hours where an unknown actor(s) attempted to gain access to the machines money compartment.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski is investigating this incident

 

Incident 14MN34045-Fraud

On Sunday November 23, 2014 at 5:00 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta responded to a Woodward road address in regards to fraud report.  The victim was identified as a 56-year-old white female Manalapan resident.  She advised that on November 22, 2014, unknown person(s) used her debit card to purchase $17.70 of merchandise in California and Wyoming.  This incident is pending further investigation.  

 

Incident 14MN34011 – Warrant Arrest

On Sunday November 23, 2014 at approximately 1:14 am, Ptl. J. Morgan Joiner conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Business Route 33 and the Monmouth Battlefield State Park.  The vehicle was stopped after Patrolman Joiner observed it committing multiple motor vehicle violations.  The driver, Alonzo C. Godbolt, a 34 year old black male Howell resident and construction contractor, had an active warrant out of Cranford for $89.00.  Godbolt was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, where he was processed and released.  

 

Incident 14MN34010 – Warrant Arrest

On Sunday November 23, 2014 at approximately 1:00 am, Ptl. Sean McCarthy conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Route 9 South and Craig Road, after observing a motor vehicle violation.  During the motor vehicle stop, it was determined that the driver, Jason McCue, a 30 year old white male Howell resident and service technician had an active warrant out of Tinton Falls for $100.00.  McCue was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarter, where he was processed and released.     

 

14MN34293 - Warrant Arrest

On 11-26-14 at 10:00 am, Wahid Khan, a 43-year-old Indian male from East Windsor, who is employed as a manager, turned himself in to this agency on an outstanding warrant for $154.  He posted cash bail, signed the bail waiver, and was released.  Ptl. Charles Mazzatto handled the arrest.

  

14MN33979 – Shoplifting

On Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 6:33 pm, a 62 year old white female unemployed Toms River resident and her son, a 32 year old unemployed white male Toms River resident, were both charged with Shoplifting from the Wegman’s Food Store by Wegman’s Loss Prevention after they were caught attempting to steal $541.37 worth of merchandise.  They were processed and released pending a court date.  Ptl. Brian Cruse and Ptl. Edward Hedden handled the arrests.  

 

14MN33900 – Criminal Mischief

 On Friday, November 21, 2014 at approximately 11:00 pm, Ptl. Brian Schank responded to the Manalapan High School for a report of vandalism.  The victim’s (31 year old, white male, of Hazlet, NJ) vehicle was parked and unattended from approximately 2:00 pm until 10:45 pm, when an unknown subject vandalized it.  The driver’s side front window of the vehicle was shattered.  Any witnesses to this incident are asked to contact Manalapan Township Police Department at (732) 446-4300.

 

14MN33885- Warrant Arrest

 On Friday November 21, 2014 at approximately 5:18 pm, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis conducted a motor vehicle stop for a violation on Siloam Road near Route 537.  The driver of the vehicle identified as Ashleigh Strout (32 year old, white female, of Jackson, who is employed as a sales manager) was found to have an active warrant from Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1000.00.  The subject was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters for processing.  The subject was issued motor vehicle summonses, where she posted bail and was released.  

 

14MN33869 – Warrant Arrest

 On Friday November 21, 2014 at approximately 5:35 pm, Justin M. Bonura (27-year-old white male, Colts Neck resident who is employed as a Construction Foreman) turned himself in to the Manalapan Township Police in reference to an active traffic warrant.  Bonura was processed and posted bail on the $3,500.00 traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township. Ptl. Matthew Meyler handled the arrest.  

 

14MN33865- Warrant Arrest

 On Friday November 21, 2014 at approximately 4:05 pm, Jessica Ferranti (22-year-old white female, Jackson Twp. resident, Insurance company manager) turned herself in to Manalapan Township Police in reference to an active traffic warrant.  Ferranti was processed and posted bail on the $228.00 traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township.  Ptl. Richard Gallo handled the arrest.    

 

14MN33869 – Warrant Arrest

 On Friday November 21, 2014 at approximately 4:05 pm, Marilee Rubino (47-year-old unemployed white female who resides in Millstone Township) turned herself in to Manalapan Township Police in reference to an active traffic warrant.  Rubino was processed and posted bail on the $240.00 traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township.  Ptl. Matthew Meyler handled the arrest.  

  

14MN33734 – Trespassing Arrest

 On November 21, 2014 at 1:44 am, patrols responded to 374 Highway 33 East for a report of a suspicious vehicle.  Upon arrival, patrols located the vehicle unoccupied near the residence.  While checking the property and residence, patrols located Scott Russo, a 44-year-old white male, landscaper, from East Windsor, NJ, hiding in bushes next to the residence.  Patrolman Matthew Mattia arrested Russo for defiant trespass.  He was transported to headquarters where he was processed and released on a complaint summons.

 

14MN33713 - Simple Assault

 On November 20, 2014 at 9:41 pm, a 21-year-old Hispanic male resident from Little Egg Harbor, NJ contacted this agency in reference to an assault.  The male who works for a repossession company was at a residence on Summer Drive to repossess a vehicle.  The resident confronted the repossession agent and allegedly assaulted him.  Ptl. Richard Gallo handled the investigation.  

 

14MN33702-Residential Burglary

 On November 20, 2014 at 5:47 pm, a 28-year-old white female Manalapan resident contacted this agency regarding a burglary to her residence on Winthrop Drive.  Sometime between 8:00 am and 5:45 pm this date, somebody made entry by breaking a rear door to the residence.  Several items were removed, including a silver menorah valued at $1000.00.  Anyone with information regarding this incident please contact Manalapan Police Department.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella and Detective Kevin Schmidt are handling the investigation.

 

14MN33698- Identity Theft

 On November 20, 2014 at 5:14 pm, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis responded to police headquarters for a subject reporting identity theft.  A 51 year old, Asian male, of Manalapan advised that unknown actor(s) opened a Paypal account without his authorization utilizing his personal information.  No financial losses occurred from this incident and the account was closed. 

 

14MN33558 – Warrant Arrest

 On November 20, 2014 at approximately 1:10 am, Laurence Nimirovsky (18-year-old white male, Marlboro resident, restaurant employee) was arrested on Connor Drive on a $164 traffic warrant out of Marlboro Township.  He was released on his own recognizance with a new court date.  Ptl. Matthew Mattia handled the arrest. 

 

14MN33418 – Warrant

 On Wednesday November 19, 2014 at approximately 11:20 am, Ptl. Matthew Meyler initiated a motor vehicle stop on US Highway Route 9 in the area of Smallwood Lane.  The passenger, Michael Casey, a 48-year-old white male Howell resident, employed as a mechanic, was found to have an active warrant in the amount of $1500.00 issued by Berkeley Township Municipal Court. Mr. Casey was arrested, transported to headquarters, and later turned over Berkley Police in lieu of bail. 

 

14MN33408 – Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday November 19, 2014 at approximately 9:50 am, Stephen Nadale, a white 35-year-old self-employed male from Philadelphia, turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $500.00.  Stephen posted bail, was processed, and released.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest. 

 

14MN33355 – Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday November 18, 2014 at approximately 9:15 pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler initiated a motor vehicle stop on US Highway Route 9 in the area of the Gordon Corner Plaza.  The driver, Frankie Sanchez (48-year-old Hispanic White male resident of Perth Amboy, NJ, who is employed as an appliance technician) was found to have an active traffic warrant in the amount of $685.00 issued by South Brunswick Municipal Court.  Mr. Sanchez was arrested, transported to headquarters and later posted cash bail in full, and was released.

  

14MN33302 - Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:54 pm, Richard F. Bachmann a 65-year-old white male Whiting NJ resident, who is retired, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Taylors Mill Road.  He was found to have an active warrant for $141.00 out of Lakehurst Municipal Court.  He was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.  Patrolman Jeff Emslie made the arrest.    

 

14MN33290 - Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 12:45 pm, Christian A. Taype, a 28-year-old white male from Newark, who is employed by a department store, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Route 9 South.  He was found to have an active warrant for $89.00 out of Kenilworth.  He was processed and released after paying a fine.  Patrolman Kevin McIntosh made the arrest.  

 

14MN33268 – Vehicle Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief

 On Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at approximately 11:30 am, a 36-year-old white male Manalapan resident reported a burglary to his vehicle on Champions Way.  The victim reported that during the over night hours, unknown actor(s) entered his unlocked vehicle, damaged the glove compartment and center console locks, and removed a small Maglite flashlight valued at $20.00.  Patrolman Robert Kelly took the report.  

 

14MN33159 – Theft of Laptop

 On Monday November 17, 2014 at approximately 1:00 pm, an unknown actor removed a laptop from the bathroom in Target on Route 9 after it was left unattended.  The victim, a 51-year-old white female Somerset resident related the laptop was left in the bathroom for approximately 10 minutes.  The laptop is described as a red and black Samsung laptop valued at approximately $300.00.  There are no suspects at this time.  Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Manalapan Police Department at (732)446-4300.  Ptl. Incident 14MN32086 - Warrant Arrest

 On Monday, November 17, 2014 at 6:00 pm, Cristina Debellas, a 20-year-old white female from Manalapan Township, who is currently unemployed, turned herself in to this agency on a criminal complaint for Providing False Information to Police.  Ms. Debellas was processed and served the complaint summons.  This case is pending a mandatory court appearance.  Ptl. Adam Sosnowski handled the arrest. 

 

14MN33080- Criminal Mischief

 On November 16, 2014 at 9:46 pm, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis responded to Pension Road for a report of damaged to the window of a motor vehicle.  A 19 year old, white, male, of Manalapan Township reported that unknown actor(s) smashed the window to his motor vehicle.  No items were reported to have been removed from the vehicle during the incident, which occurred sometime between the hours of 6:30 pm and 9:46 pm.  Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis handled the report.  

 

14MN33046 – Criminal Mischief/ Theft
On Sunday November 16, 2014 at approximately 2:43 pm, a 55-year-old white male Manalapan Township resident reported extensive damage to his private residence and outbuilding(s) located on Robertsville Road.  The victim also reported that his former tenant removed extensive amount of tools, and a clothes washing machine, from the residence.  The value of the items removed has yet to be determined.  Patrolman J. Morgan Joiner handle the incident.

 

14MN33044 – Vehicle Burglary
On Sunday November 16, 2014 at approximately 1:21 pm, a 49-year-old white female Manalapan resident reported a vehicle burglary on Kensington Drive.  The victim related that during the over night hours, unknown actor(s) gained access to her unlocked vehicles (three).  At the time of the report, the above victim had not reported anything removed from any of the vehicles.  Patrolman J. Morgan Joiner is handling the investigation. 

  

14MN33035 – Vehicle Burglary/ Theft
On Sunday November 16, 2014 at approximately 10:47 am, a 42-year-old white male Manalapan Township resident reported a vehicle burglary and theft on Kensington Drive.  The victim related that during the over night hours, starting at 1:53 am Sunday morning, two unknown adult male actors gained access to his unlocked vehicle and removed the arm rest, two wheel locks, and a pair of prescription eyeglasses valued at over $850.  Patrolman J. Morgan Joiner is handling the investigation. 

  

14MN32673 – Harassment

 On Saturday November 15, 2014 at 12:29 pm, Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky took a report from a 38-year-old male resident of Manalapan.  The victim related that he has received three harassing emails over the past year from a former college acquaintance.  At this time, the victim has not pursued criminal complaints.     

 

14MN32969 – Warrant Arrest

 On Saturday November 15, 2014 at approximately 12:15 pm, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am on Route 9 North.  The driver, Brittany Smith 22-year-old white female Keansburg resident employed as a marketing research tech, was found to have an active traffic warrant from Fanwood for $134.  Brittany was arrested, processed, and released after posting the full bail amount.  Ms. Smith was given a new court date in Fanwood.   

 

14MN32737 – Warrant Arrest

 On Thursday, November 13, 2014, at approximately 10:00 A.M. Special Officer Matthew Porricelli and Patrolman Christopher Makwinski responded to Ocean County Department of Corrections for Bruno Brizzi, a 57-year-old unemployed white male of Woodbridge Township.  Bruno had an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $1,000.00.  Bruno was processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.  

 

14MN32702 – Identity Theft

 On Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at 9:05 PM, a St. Andrews Place resident responded to police headquarters to report that an unknown actor attempted to open five different credit cards using her personal information.  The victim related that she was alerted by her Experian credit reporting service that several banks were making inquiries into her credit history.  A couple of the credit card applications were approved, but were quickly deactivated after the banks learned of the fraudulent activity.  It appears that the fraudulent activity is originating from Memphis, Tennessee.  No transactions were posted to the accounts that were approved.  Each of the various bank fraud departments will investigate this matter further.  Ptl. Dennis O’Brien took the report.  

 

14MN32698 - Warrant

 On 11-12-14 at 6:38 pm, Shalini Kapoor, a 30-year-old self-employed female resident was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of East Windsor, NJ for $200.00.  She posted bail and was released pending a court date.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella handled the arrest.  

 

14MN32633 – Theft of Services

 On Wednesday 11/13/2014 at 11:32 am, a 77-year-old white female Manalapan resident reported theft of services.  The victim stated that she hired a white male contractor of Freehold Borough to build a deck in her backyard for $4,559.10, and the contract required a $2,280.00 down payment.  The victim paid the down payment and the deck was never built.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the report.  

   

14MN32614 - Possession of CDS

 On 11-12-14 at 10:01 am, Jessica Melito, a 19-year-old white female from Manalapan who is employed in sales, was the passenger in a motor vehicle that was stopped for tinted windows.  She was subsequently found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and in possession of marijuana.  She was placed under arrest, processed and released on a summons.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman made the arrest.  

 

14MN32628 - Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday, November 12, 2014, at approximately 11:00 AM, Patricia Juhass (a 50-year-old, white female Jamesburg resident, who is unemployed), was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and found to have an active warrant out of Old Bridge Township for $300.00.  She was placed under arrest, processed, and released after posting bail.  She was issued two motor vehicle summonses.  Ptl. Robert Kelly handled the arrest.  

 

Incident 14MN32549 – Shoplifting

 On 11/11/14 at 5:01 pm, a 17-year-old female juvenile from Monroe Township was taken into custody after she was stopped by Best Buy Loss Prevention for attempting to remove $130.00 in merchandise from the store.  She was transported to police headquarters where she was charged with Shoplifting.  The case is pending her appearance in the Monmouth County Juvenile Court.  Patrolman Brian Cruse handled the arrest.

 

Incident 14MN32471 – Fraud

 On 11/11/2014 at approximately 12:27 pm, a 56-year-old white female retired Manalapan resident, reported she entered personal information into a Chase email account, which was subsequently found to be fraudulent.  No identity theft was reported, but Chase bank was notified of the incident.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled this case.

 

Incident 14MN32451 – Fraud

 On 11/11/2014 at approximately 10:31 am, a 70-year-old white male, who owns a business in Manalapan Township, reported a fraudulent credit card transaction from one of his customers, an unknown male with a Maryland address.  The victim reported the customer purchased over $6,000.00 in merchandise with a stolen credit card and now is in the process of retrieving his merchandise.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski and the Laurel Township Police Department are investigating this incident.

 

Incident 14MN32445 - Warrant Arrest

 On 11-11-14 at 10:21am, Michel Augello, a 47-year-old White female from Manalapan Township, who is currently unemployed, turned herself in to this agency on an outstanding warrant.  Augello posted $1000 cash bail, and was released with a new court date.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman handled the arrest.  

 

Incident 14MN32227 - Warrant Arrest

 On 11/09/2014 at approximately 6:25 pm, Ptl. Edward Hedden responded to police headquarters to meet with a subject who wished to surrender himself for an outstanding warrant.  Treavon G. Walker, a black, 18-year-old male, student and resident of Manalapan, turned himself in on the warrant out of Freehold Township for a total of $164.00.  He was processed, posted full bail, and was released. 

 

14MN32144 – Warrant Arrest 

On 11/08/2014 at approximately 8:48 pm, Ptl. Christopher Oleksy was dispatched to police headquarters for a warrant arrest.  Madonna Argento, a white, 25 year old female, East Windsor resident, self employed, turned herself in on an active and valid warrant out of this jurisdiction for a total of $240.00.  Madonna was processed as per department policy, posted full bail, and was released. 

 

14MN32063 - Shoplifting

 On November 7, 2014 at approximately 8:51 PM, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis responded to the Best Buy on Route 9 for a shoplifter in custody.  The loss prevention officer advised he observed a male subject conceal an X-box controller valued at $129.99 in his jacket.  The suspect was identified as Eric Fenske, a 21-year-old white male, from Manalapan, and currently unemployed.  The subject was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters for processing, and released on a summons for shoplifting.  He will have a future court date in Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  

 

14MN32053 - Attempted Shoplifting

 On Friday November 7, 2014 at approximately 6:15 PM, Ptl. Matthew Meyler responded to Wegman’s on US Highway 9 in reference to a shoplifting incident.  An unknown middle-aged white male was observed on surveillance video, by Wegman’s Loss Prevention staff, loading a shopping cart with various liquor bottles.  The male then covered the merchandise in the shopping cart with rolls of packaged paper towels and exited the business without rendering payment.  When approached by Wegman’s staff, the male left the merchandise in the parking lot and fled towards an unknown vehicle.  All of the approximately $422.00 worth of merchandise was recovered by Wegman’s staff.  This case is under investigation.    

 

14MN32049 – Warrant

On Friday November 7, 2014 at approximately 5:30 PM, Jose Caraballo (35 year old Hispanic male Old Bridge resident, insurance broker) responded to Police Headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Manalapan for $1000.00.  He was processed, posted bail and was released.  Ptl. Bryan Belardo handled the incident.  

 

14MN31987—Warrant

 On Friday, November 7, 2014 at approximately 11:00 AM, Luis Delossantos Jr. (26-year-old Hispanic male, Howell resident) responded to headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant.  Luis was processed on a $195 Manalapan traffic warrant.  He posted bail and was released.  Ptl. Bartholomew Mattaliano handled the arrest.  

 

14MN21122- Burglary, Theft, Criminal Mischief

 On Friday, November 7, 2014, Joseph D. Demauex, a 28-year-old unemployed white male from Riverdale New Jersey, was charged with Burglary, Theft and Criminal Mischief (3rd degree) for the July 28th Burglary of Spirits Unlimited.  On July 28 2014 at approximately 12:08 am, patrol officers responded to the Spirits Unlimited liquor store located on U.S. Hwy 9 North.  Patrols discovered the entrance doors smashed out and the cash register draw missing.  The case was investigated by Detective Charles Alaimo.  Demauex was served with his complaints at the Passaic County Jail, where he is currently lodged on unrelated charges.  

 

14MN31951 – Simple Assault

 On Thursday November 6, 2014 at approximately 6:35 pm, Patrolman Matthew Meyler responded to a Plaza 9 office building in reference to an assault that had occurred.  A 53-year-old white male and a 25-year-old white male, both employees in the office building, alleged they took part in a mutual fight.  Each party sustained minor injuries and were treated by Englishtown-Manalapan First Aid.  Both subjects were advised of complaint process, should they decide to sign criminal complaints against one another for the altercation.   

 

14MN31792 – Possession of Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia

On Wednesday November 5, 2014 at approximately 12:36 am, Patrolman Sean McCarthy conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 North after observing a motor vehicle violation.  Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver of the vehicle, Andrew Greene, a 23 year old black male New Brunswick resident who works as a cook, was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Greene was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and released on summonses. 

 

14MN31765-Assault

 On November 4, 2014 at 8:14 pm, a white 20-year-old male resident reported that he was assaulted after a road rage incident.  He was traveling south on Pension Road when he became involved in an altercation with an occupant of a white Honda Civic.  Both vehicles eventually came to a stop and the passenger of the Civic exited and proceeded to the victim’s driver side door.  The victim’s window was subsequently broken and he was struck twice in the face causing minor injuries.  The white male suspect was described as 6’ 180 lbs with brown hair and brown eyes and a scruff beard.  He was wearing a black North Face jacket.  The vehicle left the area and appeared to be driven by an unknown female.  The incident is under investigation by Ptl. Anthony Cascella. 

 

14MN31751 - Theft

 On November 4, 2014 at approximately 5:00 pm, the victim (a 49-year-old white female Manalapan resident) reported that four suspects had stolen her 14-year-old son’s Apple Iphone 5s during a “shoe swap” at the residence.  The phone and case were valued at a total of $800.00.  This case is pending further investigation, and is being handled by Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky.  

 

14MN31750 – Theft

 On November 4, 2014, a white female (50-year-old Manalapan resident) reported that two purchases with her Debit Card were made on 11/03/14 in Dunwoody Georgia totaling $548.07.  It appears that the suspect(s) fraudulently created a debit card with the victim’s bank information since she still has her cards in her possession.  Ptl. Eric Voorand is investigating the incident. 

 

14MN31734-Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday November 4, 2014, Julie M. Wallis (a 58-year-old white female Lakewood resident currently unemployed) was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and was found to have an active warrant out of Manasquan Borough for $150.00.  She was placed under arrest, processed and released after posting bail.  She was issued two motor vehicle summonses.  Ptl. Jeff Emslie handled the arrest.  

 

14MN31718- Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at approximately 11:17 am, Ptl. Kenneth Mikulik conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 south near Craig Road.  A 2012 Jeep Liberty bearing a Pennsylvania registration, driven by Gail Lorentzen was stopped for a traffic violation.  Lorentzen (an unemployed 53-year-old white female from Freehold Township) was found to have a $1000 traffic warrant out of Freehold Township, a $250 traffic warrant out of Tinton Falls, and a child support warrant out of the Monmouth County Superior Court.  Lorentzen was arrested and issued multiple traffic citations.  After being processed at the Manalapan Township Police Department, Lorentzen was turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriffs Department.  Ptl. Kenneth Mikulik handled the arrest.       

 

14MN31668-Warrant Arrest

 On Monday November 3, 2014 at approximately 9:31 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta and Patrolman Bryan Belardo responded to a Tall Woods Drive residence in regards to a male subject on location who was not allowed on the property.  Upon arrival, a 28-year-old white male Manalapan resident identified as Jason P Dunn was determined to have multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.  Dunn, who is unemployed, was determined to have $1,010.00 worth of warrants issued out of the Freehold Borough Municipal Court.  Dunn was arrested, processed, and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail.  Patrolman Philip Accatatta was the arresting officer. 

 

14MN31645-Warrant

 On November 2, 2014 at 2:31 pm, Edward Chander a 19-year-old white male Manalapan resident employed in sales, turned himself in on an active warrant out of Wall Township.  Chander posted the full bail amount and was released without incident.  The arrest was handled by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.  

 

14MN31550 – Terroristic Threats

 On Sunday, November 2, 2014 at 1:13 PM, a 25 year old female (Manalapan resident) reported that a 47 year old male (Manalapan resident) made terroristic threats toward her.  The incident transpired on Shinnecock Drive sometime during late February 2014 and early March 2014.  The victim is reserving the right to file complaints at a later time.  Patrolman Morgan Joiner handled the incident.

 

14MN31478 – Missing Person 

On 11-01-14 at 6:39 pm, Patrolman Richard Gallo responded to the Marianne Manor Group Home located at 327 Rt. 33 for a missing person report.  Upon arrival, it was determined that 23 year old white male, Manalapan resident, Dylan Satorius had walked away from the facility on 10-31-14 at 6:00 pm and has not returned.  Anyone with information regarding Satorius whereabouts is requested to contact the Manalapan Police Department.    

14MN31441 – Overdose: Narcan Deployment 

At approximately 3:11 am on Saturday, November 01, 2014, Patrolman William Dutton, Patrolman Matthew Mattia, Patrolman Morgan Joiner, and Patrolman Matthew Meyler responded to Highland Drive residence for a report of a possible narcotic overdose.  Upon arrival, the victim was found to be unconscious in the residence and was reported to have used opiates.  Patrolman Dutton evaluated the victim, who was unresponsive.  They subsequently administered Nasal Narcan (Naloxone) to the victim, who regained consciousness and started breathing.  Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad transported him to Centra State Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.     

14MN31362 Warrant Arrest 

On 10-31-14 at 8:55 am, while on patrol, Patrolman Seth Kreizman observed David Drago walk into Dunkin Donuts on Route 9 North.  Drago is a 24 year old, White male who is currently unemployed and homeless.  Drago is known to Patrolman Kreizman and Manalapan Police to have an extensive history.  Patrolman Kreizman via dispatch ran a check for warrants, which resulted in two active warrants from Englishtown Borough for $500.00 and $672.00 from Marlboro Township.  Drago was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters where he was processes and remanded to Marlboro Police in Lieu of bail.  Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest.  

14MN31322; 14MN31338; 14MN13126; 14MN31319 – Vandalism 

On October 30, 2014, between approximately 8:00 pm and 9:30 pm, several residents reported that an unknown subject or subjects vandalized their residences by shooting paintballs at the houses.  No permanent damage was reported and the paint was able to be cleaned.  The incidents were reported on Farm Tree Road, Thoreau Drive, and Old Queens Boulevard.  Patrolman Adam Sosnowski, Patrolman Eric Voorand, and Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the reports.    

14MN31156 – Warrant Arrest 

On October 29, 2014 at approximately 2:57 pm, Vladimir Chen, a 45-year-old self-employed Asian male Manalapan resident turned him self in on an outstanding warrant from this agency for $500.00.  Vladimir posted bail with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court, and he was processed, and released.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.    

14MN31122 – Fraud 

On October 29, 2014 at approximately 9:46 am, a white 49-year-old Manalapan resident reported fraudulent debit card charges.  The victim had a total of $30.00 in charges on his bank account from a website.  The victim does not know how his debit card number was obtained.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the report.    

14MN31095-Warrant Arrest 

On October 29, 2014, at approximately 2:00 am, Caitlin O’Brien, a 22-year-old White female, from Manalapan Township was arrested on an outstanding local traffic warrant.  Caitlin was initially arrested by Aberdeen Police Department and was subsequently transferred to this agency for processing on a Manalapan traffic warrant in the amount of $1000.  Caitlin was processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of bail.  Patrol Officer Jenny Rae Hensley was the arresting officer.     

14MN31070- Warrant Arrest 

On October 28, 2014 at approximately 8:00 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Blenheim Road after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The operator was identified as 22-year-old white male Manalapan resident Joseph C Ocasio.  Ocasio, who is employed as a lead sales associate was determined to have an active warrant issued out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00.  Ocasio was arrested, processed, and released from police custody pending a court date to appear. 

Incident 14MN31037- Warrant Arrest 

On October 28, 2014 at approximately 1:00 pm, Brian Pankuch (white/male 46-year-old Manalapan resident) responded to headquarters to turn himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant.  Brian had an outstanding traffic warrant for $150.00 out of Franklin Township, New Jersey.  Brain was processed, posted bail, and released.  Patrolman Bartholomew Mattaliano handled the report.   

Incident 14MN31018 – Identity Theft 

On October 28, 2014 at 11:40 am, Patrolman Sean McCarthy responded to the Manalapan Township Police Department for a report of identity theft.  The victim, a 59-year-old white male Manalapan resident, had his social security number compromised.  Approximately two weeks prior, the victim’s wife received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS.  The caller was not really from the IRS but the victim’s wife gave the caller his personal information.  The report was handled by Patrolman Sean McCarthy.

Incident 14MN3089 - Narcotics Arrest 

On 10-27-14 at 8:37 am, Jose Rivera, a 58-year-old Hispanic male from Long Branch, who is employed as a laborer, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Investigation revealed Rivera to be in possession of Marijuana.  He was placed under arrest and transported back to headquarters where he was processed and released with a summons. Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest.  

Incident 14MN30921 Warrant Arrest  

On 10-27-14 at 11:16 am, Dunilo Burnham, a 49-year-old black male from Freeport New York, who is employed as a laborer, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Investigation revealed that he had two outstanding warrants from Greenwich Township for $165 and Piscataway for $89.  He was placed under arrest, and transported to headquarters where he was processed and released after posting cash bail.  Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest. 

Incident 14MN30911 Warrant Arrest  

On 10-27-14 at 10:07 am, Everett Wilson, a 42 year, old black male from Freeport New York, who is employed in marketing, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  The investigation revealed an outstanding warrant from South Plainfield for $195.  He was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters where he was processed and released on his own recognizance.  Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest. 

Incident # 14MN30869 – Warrant Arrest 

On 10/26/2014 at approximately 9:45 pm, George Tsiolas, a 56-year-old white male, unemployed Manalapan resident, responded to Manalapan Police Headquarters in reference to an outstanding warrant out of Manalapan Township in the amount of $1,000.00.  He was processed, posted bail and was released pending a future court date.  Patrolman Edward Hedden handled the arrest.    

Incident # 14MN30864 – Warrant Arrest 

On 10-26-14 at 06:15 pm, Constance J. Comito-Favale (a 43-year-old white female Manalapan NJ resident who is employed as an accounts manager) turned herself into this agency on an active warrant out of Millstone Township in the amount of $2,000.00.  She posted bail and was released without incident.  Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky handled the arrest.  

Incident 14MN30858 - Trespassing 

On October 26, 2014 at approximately 3:55 pm, David Drago, 24-year-old unemployed white male, that resides in Manalapan, New Jersey, was placed under arrest, and charged with Trespassing after being observed on the property of 90 Wilson Avenue, the Englishtown Auction, without being permitted to enter upon the property.  David Drago was transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters where he was processed and released on a summons.  Patrolman Edward Hedden was the arresting officer.    

Incident 14MN30758-Hit and Run MVC-Property Damage 

On October 25, 2014 at 9:51 am, this officer was dispatched to 700 Tennent Road, the Tennent 9 Plaza, for a report of a hit and run collision.  Investigation revealed that an unknown black vehicle struck a support column and left the area before calling the police.  The incident occurred sometime between 10-24-14 and 10-25-14.  Anyone with information please contact Patrolman Jeff Emslie at 732-446-4300.   

Incident 14MN30722 -  Criminal Mischief 

On Friday October 24, 2014 at approximately 6:25 pm, Patrolman Richard Gallo responded to Gaitway Farms located on Route 33 for a report of criminal mischief.  Upon arrival, it was learned that a Mercedes Benz owned by a 27 year old white female, North Arlington resident, had both the driver side front and rear windows broken out with a blunt object.  The incident occurred while the vehicle was unoccupied and there were no witnesses.  Patrolman Richard Gallo handled the investigation.     

Incident 14MN30707 – Fraud 

On Friday October 24, 2014 at approximately 3:30 pm, the victim (a 29-year-old white male Manalapan resident) reported $987.08 in fraudulent transactions was processed from his bank account.  The victim was advised by his bank of the transactions, which occurred in several locations around the country.  This case is pending further investigation.  Patrolman Matthew Meyler handled the incident.    

Incident 14MN30678-Warrant

On 10-24-14 at 12:23 pm, Christopher Bologna (a 45-year-old white male Manalapan NJ resident who is self-employed) turned himself into this agency on an active warrant out of Point Pleasant Borough for $350.00.  He posted $350.00 and was released without incident.  Patrolman Jeff Emslie handled the arrest.    

14MN30672 – Warrant Arrest 

On Friday, October 24, 2014 at approximately 11:50 am, Joseph Doliveira was stopped in his motor vehicle while traveling on Route 9 near Taylors Mills Road for motor vehicle violations.  Mr. Doliveira, (a 64-year-old, Hispanic male, employed as an optician residing in Laurence Harbor, NJ) was found to have a suspended driver’s license and an outstanding warrant out of Old Bridge Township Municipal Court.  Mr. Doliveira was arrested and released on bail for the Old Bridge warrant and issued summonses for the motor vehicle violations.  Patrolman Morgan Joiner was the arresting officer.    

14MN30572-Warrant Arrest 

On 10-23-14 at 2:38pm, Mohamed Lamin, a 31-year-old black male Sayreville, NJ resident, who is employed as a warehouse laborer, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation. Investigation revealed that Lamin had an outstanding warrant from Perth Amboy for $120.00.  Lamin was placed under arrest and transported back to headquarters where he was processed and posted a cash bail.  Patrolman Robert Kelly made the arrest. 

14MN30581-Motor Vehicle Burglary 

On Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 4:17 pm, a 35-year-old white male resident reported a vehicle burglary on Pension Rd.  Sometime between 2:00 pm on 10-22-14 and 4:00pm on 10-23-14, someone gained access to the unlocked 2003 Toyota Corolla.  The only item removed was a book bag belonging to a 32 year old white male from Freehold who was a friend of the vehicle’s owner.  Patrolman Anthony Cascella handled the incident. 

14MN30597 – Harassment / Terroristic Threats 

On Thursday, 10/23/14 at 7:06 pm a 39 year old male (Howell Resident) reported that he was involved in a dispute with a female at a preschool in Jackson that morning.  At 6:50 pm, the husband of the female showed up at his place of employment in Manalapan and threatened him.  Patrolman Eric Voorand is investigating the incident. 

14MN30569 – Shoplifting/Property Theft 

On Thursday October 23, 2014 at approximately 1:01 pm, an employee from Music and Arts on Route 9 in Manalapan Township reported a stolen flute.  The employee related while doing an inventory check of Music and Arts, he and the other employees noticed the flute was taken out of its case and missing.  The flute has not been seen since last week, and is valued at $900.00.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski is investigating this incident.  

14MN30530-Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash 

     On Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at approximately 7:38 pm, officers from the Manalapan Township Police Department were dispatched to State Highway 33, near the intersection of Woodward Road, in regards to a pedestrian struck by a motor vehicle.  The victim, who was identified as Richard L. Cashwell Jr., a 67-year-old black male Manalapan resident, had sustained significant injuries.  Cashwell was transported to Centra State Medical Center in Freehold Township, where he succumb to his injuries.  Cashwell resided at a group home on State Highway 33, near the area of the collision, and was not restricted from leaving the facility without supervision.  Traffic Safety Officers Detective Dominick Donatelli Jr. and Patrolman Dennis O’Brien of the Manalapan Township Police Department conducted the investigation.

     The crash investigation revealed a 2013 Toyota Tacoma was traveling eastbound in the left lane of travel on State Highway 33, in heavy rain conditions.  The victim, who was wearing all dark clothing, was walking northbound, and attempted to cross the roadway by utilizing the grassy median.  The area was not designated for pedestrians, and has no streetlights present.  Jeremy R. Colby, a 37-year-old white male Point Pleasant Borough resident, drove the 2013 Toyota Tacoma.

     In addition to the above agencies, Manalapan Township Fire Company No. 1, New Jersey State Police, and the New Jersey Department of Transportation Incident Management Response Team, all assisted at the scene.  Any witnesses are asked to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at 732-446-4300. 

14MN30526 – Lost or Stolen Property 

On 10/22/14 at 5:29 pm, the victim (a 40-year-old white male who is a Manalapan Resident) responded to headquarters to make a report.  He related that on 10/19/14 at 12:00 pm, he left a bag containing multiple items valued at $290 on a table at the Manalapan Recreation Center.  He forgot that he left the bag on the table until the following day 10/20/14 at 7:30am.  When he returned the bag was no longer there.  Ptl. Eric Voorand is investigating the incident.    

14MN30481- Theft of Motor Vehicle 

On October 22, 2014 at approximately 6:50 am, patrols responded to a residence on Candido Court in Manalapan Township for a report of a stolen vehicle.  The victim reported that sometime between the hours of 8:00 pm and 9:00 pm on October 21, 2014 her vehicle was stolen from the garage of her residence.  The vehicle is described as a white 2014 Audi Q4 SUV.  The vehicle was left in the garage with the bay door open and the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside of the vehicle.  If anyone has any further information regarding this case, they are asked to please contact The Manalapan Township Police Department at 732 446-4300.  Ptl. 14MN30467 – Overdose: Narcan deployment 

At approximately 11:30 pm on Tuesday, October 21, 2014, Patrolman William Dutton and Patrolman Jason Vigneault responded to an Appomattox Drive residence for a report of a narcotic overdose.  Upon arrival, the victim was found to be unconscious in the residence and was reported to have used heroin.  Patrolman Dutton and Patrolman Vigneault evaluated the victim, who was unresponsive.  They subsequently administered Nasal Narcan (Naloxone) to the victim, who quickly regained consciousness.  Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad transported him to Centra State Medical Center for further evaluation and treatment.    

14MN30457- Warrant Arrest 

On Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 9:33 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The operator was identified as 55-year-old white male named Mario Alonso Jr.  Alonso a local business owner was determined to have an outstanding warrant for his arrest issued out of the Parsippany Township Municipal Court for $89.00.  Alonso was arrested, processed, and released from police custody after posting the bail in full.     

14MN30440- Harassment 

On Tuesday October 21, 2014 at 5:48 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta was dispatched to the lobby of the Manalapan Township Police Department in regards to a harassment complaint.  Upon arrival, the victim was identified as a 24-year-old white female Manalapan resident.  The victim stated between October 20, 2014 and October 21, 2014 she had been receiving harassing text messages from an unknown subject.  The subject is unidentified at this time and this case is pending further investigation.  

14MN30273- Theft/Forgery 

On October 20, 2014 at 5:25 PM, Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to Route 9 at Wells Fargo Bank for a report of a stolen check and a forged signature.  The victim identified as a 44-year-old white female of Manalapan, was advised a known 21-year-old white male, of Manalapan obtained a personal bank check from her bank account and forged the account holders name.  The male subject attempted to cash the check, however was denied by the bank.  The victim did not want to pursue complaints.    

14MN30232-Warrant Arrest 

On 10-20-14 at 10:13 am, Howard Hester Jr. (a 33-year-old, white male from Keyport, who is unemployed) was stopped for a motor vehicle violation.  Investigation revealed that Hester had an outstanding warrant from Englishtown for $240. Hester was placed under arrest and transported back to police headquarters where he posted cash bail.  Patrolman Seth Kreizman made the arrest.    

14MN30272 – Harassment 

On Monday, October 20, 2014 at 5:14 pm patrols responded to the area of Iron Ore Road for a report of harassment.  The victim, a 55-year-old white male Manalapan resident, alleges that he received several harassing phone calls from a neighbor (51-year-old white male from Manalapan).  The incident is under investigation.  Ptl. Brian Cruse took the report.    

14MN30253 – Theft 

On Monday, October 20, 2014 at approximately 2:30 pm, the victim (a retired 68-year-old white female, Manalapan resident) had her purse removed from a shopping cart in the parking lot of the Wegman’s Food Market (Manalapan, NJ).  After finishing her shopping she had left the purse in her shopping cart and drove away.  Upon realizing she left the purse, she returned to the location she had left the cart and the purse was missing.  Patrolman William Dutton is handling the investigation.  Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Manalapan Police Department at (732)446-4300.    

14MN30246 – Warrant Arrest 

On Monday, October 20, 2014 at approximately 12:30 pm, Matthew J. Asciutto, (a twenty-six-year-old white male, student residing in Manalapan) responded to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters to post bail for an outstanding traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township Municipal Court in the amount of $350.00.  Mr. Asciutto was processed, posted bail and was released pending a new court date.  Ptl. William Dutton processed the arrest.   

14MN30175- Harassment 

On October 19, 2014 at 8:47 pm, Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to the Marianne Manor for a report of harassment.  Upon arrival, the victim a 47 year old, white female, of Manalapan, related two known subjects identified as a 67-year-old black male, of Manalapan and a 55-year-old black male, of Manalapan allegedly made a threatening comment to the victim.  The victim did not want to pursue at this time.   

14MN30156 - Shoplifting 

On October 19, 2014 at 4:40 pm, Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky responded to Bed Bath and Beyond for a report of a shoplifting incident.  Two unknown black females removed several items and left the store in a black sport utility vehicle without making payment.  The females are believed to have been between 30-40 years of age.  The approximate value of the merchandise was between $300.00 and $500.00. 

This case is pending further investigation.  

14MN30153 – Simple Assault 

On October 20, 2014 at 4:11 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to the area of Wood Avenue for a report of an assault that had jut occurred.  Upon arrival, the victim, (23 year old white male and Freehold resident) related he was kicked in the stomach after having a verbal argument with the suspect.  The suspect was identified as a 53 year old black male and Manalapan resident.  The victim did not wish to pursue complaints at the time of the incident.    

14MN30152- Simple Assault 

On October 19, 2014 at 3:15 pm, Patrolman Joseph DeFilippis responded to a Wilson Avenue address for the report of a fight.  Upon arrival, the victim (37-year-old white, male, Hillsboro) related a customer was advised he was prohibited from consuming additional alcoholic beverages.  The suspect identified as a 24 year old, white male, of Manalapan became uncooperative and allegedly struck the victim in the head. The victim did not wish to pursue complaints and requested the subject be removed from the property. The suspect was advised to leave the property and not to return, with which he complied. 

Incident 14MN29985-Warrant Arrest 

On 10-17-14 at 4:08 pm the arrestee, Allison Schon a 27-year-old white female unemployed Perth Amboy resident was involved in a MV collision and found to have an active warrant out of Old Bridge Township.  Arrestee was processed and released after posting bail.  Ptl. Jeff Emslie handled the incident.  

Incident 14MN29975- Warrant Arrest 

On 10-17-14 at 12:46 pm, Jamar Thomas, a 37 year old, Black male, from Monroe Township, who is employed as a forklift operator, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant from Manalapan Township for $750.  He posted cash bail, was processed, and released pending a new court date.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman handled the incident.   

Incident 14MN29954-Vehicle Burglary/ Theft 

On Friday 10-17-14 at 9:00 am, a vehicle burglary was reported to this agency.  The victim, a 44-year-old white Manalapan resident, reported that her vehicle was broken into and her purse was taken.  The vehicle had been parked at a business on Gordon’s Corner Road.  The incident is under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie. 

Incident 14MN29906-Driving While Intoxicated & Endangering Welfare of Child 

On Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 4:53 pm, this agency responded to Route 9 for a hit and run motor vehicle crash.  A black Jeep Cherokee struck a vehicle and left the scene.  The vehicle was located a short while later in the parking lot of Bed Bath and Beyond.  The driver later identified as Michele Rivera 44-year-old Hispanic female, hairdresser, from Jackson, New Jersey was found to be driving while intoxicated.  Also inside the vehicle was a minor child.  She was subsequently arrested and charged Driving While Intoxicated, Driving While Intoxicated with a minor child in the vehicle, Leaving the Scene of a Motor Vehicle Crash, Reckless Driving, Having an Open Container of Alcohol in a Motor Vehicle, and Failure to Report an Accident.  Rivera was also charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  She was released to a family member after posting bail.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella handled the investigation. 

Incident 14MN29904 – Burglary/Theft/Criminal Mischief 

On Thursday, October 16, 2014 at approximately 4:20 pm, Patrolman Matthew Meyler responded to a burglary that was reported to have occurred between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm on this date.  The 59-year-old white male Manalapan resident reported that his Amberly Drive residence was forcibly entered and several items of property were removed, including cash and jewelry. It is unknown at this time the exact amount and value of property that was removed from the residence. Patrolman Kevin Ruditsky assisted with the investigation.  Anyone with information in reference to this investigation is asked to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. This case is under further investigation.  

Incident 14MN29878- Receiving Stolen Property 

On 10-16-14 at 11:49 am, Patrolman Jeff Emslie was on patrol when a random plate check alerted to a stolen tractor-trailer travelling on Route 9 North.  The tractor-trailer, registered out of Tennessee, was stopped on Route 18 North near Route 9.  The driver, Troy W. Davis a 42-year-old black male Philadelphia Pennsylvania resident, employed as a truck driver, was placed under arrest for receiving stolen property.  The vehicle was impounded.  The arrestee was processed and released with one charge for receiving stolen property and released on his own recognizance.  Ptl. Jeff Emslie and Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the incident.   

Incident 14MN29850 Welfare check/ Warrant Arrest 

On 10-16-14 at 7:28 am, patrols were dispatched to number 1 Justin Way, in reference to an anonymous caller claiming that the male at the residence, is constantly threatening the caller via harassing texts and phone calls.  The caller indicated that the male might have active warrants, and possibly weapons.  Patrol Officers Seth Kreizman, Reginald Grant, and Christopher Makwinski responded to the residence to investigate, where they identified Kareem Thomas, a 32-year-old Black male from Freehold Township, who is employed as a store clerk.  It was confirmed that Thomas had a $450 warrant out of Keansburg, and was placed under arrest by Ptl. Seth Kreizman.  He was processed and remanded to Monmouth County Jail in lieu of bail.   

Incident 14MN29823 – Missing Person / Silver Alert 

On Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at approximately 5:15 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski responded to a residence on Turnberry Drive for a report of a missing person suffering from Alzheimer's / Dementia.  He was last seen inside his 
residence at 2:30 pm, and left the area in his vehicle, a silver 2014, 4-door Nissan Altima.  Due to past incidents, a “Silver Alert” was initiated.  The victim was subsequently located uninjured in Teaneck, New Jersey after walking 
into Holy Name Medical Center.    

Incident 14MN29824-Burglary 

On Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at 5:15 PM, Patrolman Anthony Cascella responded to Fawn Run for a report of a residence that was burglarized.  A 24-year-old white male victim reported that someone made entry into his residence though an unlocked bedroom window.  They removed items valued at $375.00, including a watch and $175.00 in cash.  Witness related they observed a light skinned male 5’7’’tall, approximately 170 lbs., medium build, wearing black and white striped shirt, and colored shorts.  This incident is currently under investigation.  Anyone with any information concerning this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department.    

Incident 14MN29458 – Warrant Arrest 

On Sunday, October 12, 2014 at approximately 12:48 pm, Patrol Officers Sean McCarthy and Ross Dessel, responded to the Freehold Borough Police Department where Justine Boyle (38-year-old unemployed white female and Freehold resident) was being held on an active warrant out of Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $295.00.  Boyle was processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of bail.   

14MN29164 – Warrant Arrest 

On Thursday October 9th, 2014 at approximately 12:20 PM Jason Zimmerman, a 20 year- old, white, male, cashier, from Freehold, New Jersey turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency.  Jason posted $500.00 bail and was processed and released.  Patrolman Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.    

14MN29151 – Harassment 

On Thursday October 9th, 2014, at approximately 11:14 AM, a 47 year-old white, female, from Manalapan reported that she was harassed in a Manalapan eatery on Union Hill Road.  The subject reported that another female entered the building and verbally harassed her.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the report.    

14MN29142-Theft 

On Thursday October 9, 2014 at 10:37 am, a 49 year-old, white, Red Bank resident responded to this agency to report a theft.  He related that he paid $1250.00 for a vacation that was cancelled, but has not received the money back.  Incident is under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.     

14MN29094 – Warrant Arrest 

On Thursday October 09, 2014, at approximately 1:30 am, Paulo Guerrero (29 year old, Hispanic male from Lakewood, NJ) was arrested on an active $466 warrant out of Manalapan.  Guerrero was processed and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institute in lieu of bail.  Ptl. Brian Schank was the arresting officer. 

14MN28926-Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Drug Paraphernalia 

On Tuesday October 7th, 2014 at approximately 6:29 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Freehold Road after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The operator, identified as 26 year-old white male Jackson resident, Jordan Boorstein.  After an investigation, Boorstein who works as a local laborer was placed under arrest for being in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, possession of more than 5 dosage units of a Prescription Legend Drug, Possession of Less Than 50 grams of Marijuana, and for possession of drug paraphernalia.  Boorstein was arrested, transported, processed, and released from police custody on a summons. 

14MN28882 – Warrant Arrest 

On Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at approximately 12:30 pm, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2006 Chrysler for a traffic violation.  The driver was issued a written warning and the passenger, William Shott, 49-year-old white male unemployed Staten Island resident, was found to have multiple traffic and criminal warrants totaling $5,784.50.  Warrants were issued from Sayreville, Monroe, South Amboy, and Perth Amboy.  Mr. Shott was arrested, processed, and turned over to Sayreville Police after he was unable to post bail.    

14MN28839- Warrant Arrest 

On 10-7-14 at 9:18 am, Ptl. Seth Kreizman observed a white Ford F350 pickup traveling on Route 9 North with several equipment violations.  Ptl. Kreizman conducted a car stop and the driver, Toniann Tribuzio a 36 year-old, White female from Englishtown who is unemployed, was found to be driving with a suspended license and had an active warrant out of Old Bridge for $165.  Tribuzio was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters, where she was processed and posted the cash bail.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman made the arrest.    

14MN28846 – Warrant Arrest  

On Tuesday October 7, 2014 at approximately 10:00 am, Lee Emerson, 51 year-old white male Marlboro resident employed as a mail currier, turned himself in on an active traffic warrant from Manalapan for $500. Mr. Emerson was processed then released after posting bail to Manalapan Court. Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the arrest.     

14MN28840-Warrant 

On Oct. 7, 2014 at 9:23 am, Lewis Bookbinder a 58-year-old white male Freehold NJ resident employed as a mail handler, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation, and found to have an active warrant out of Woodbridge Township.  He was arrested, processed, and released after posting bail.  Incident handled by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.    

14MN28762 – Burglary to residence 

On Monday October 6th, 2014 at approximately 1:30 pm, a 25-year-old Manalapan resident responded to police headquarters to report her residence on Taylors Mills Rd was forcibly unlawfully entered.  The incident occurred sometime within the past month.  At this time, it does not appear that anything was taken from her home.  Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the report.  

14MN28760- Warrant Arrest 

On Monday 10-6-14 at approximately 1:30 pm, Ptl. Bartholomew Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Main Street in Englishtown Borough.  The driver of the vehicle Daniel Braslavets (22 year old, unemployed white male, Manalapan resident) was found to have two outstanding traffic warrants.  The warrants were out of Englishtown and Manalapan.  Daniel was arrested, transported to headquarters, processed, and released after posting bail.  Ptl. Mattaliano handled the incident.     

14MN28722 – Warrant 

On Monday October 6, 2014 at approximately 9:12 am, Ivar Robinson, a 48-year-old self-employed black male who resides in Old Bridge, New Jersey, surrendered himself for an active traffic warrant out of Manalapan in the amount of $240.00.  Robinson was processed, and released upon posting the full cash bail amount.  Ptl. Ross Dessel handled the incident.    

14MN28671- Theft 

On Sunday October 05, 2014 at approximately 12:00 pm, a resident of Varnum Lane reported a theft from her residence.  The victim, a 36-year-old white female, related that a 14K diamond bangle bracelet valued at $1400 went missing from her home sometime between Thursday, 10/02/14 and Saturday 10/04/14.  The resident utilized a private cleaning service, but did not wish to provide their information.  There were no signs of forced entry into the home, or suspicious activity reported.  Ptl. Ken Mikulik is the investigating officer.   

14MN28855 – Warrant  

On Oct. 7, 2014 at 10:58 am the arrestee, Anthony Giarletta 29 year old white male Staten Island, NY resident,  self-employed,  was stopped for a MV violation and found to have an active warrant out of Bayonne, New Jersey for $458.00.  He was arrested, processed, and released after posting bail.  Incident handled by Ptl. Ross Dessel.    

14MN29043—Warrant Arrest 

On October 8th, 2014 at approximately 2:37 pm, Hugo Magana-Diaz a 28-year-old Hispanic male Freehold resident, employed as a landscaper, turned himself in on a traffic warrant out Manalapan Township for $1,000.00.  Mr. Diaz was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.  Ptl. Jean Letts made this arrest.   

14MN29145 –Warrant Arrest 

On October 9, 2014 at 11:00 am, Dominique Gluck a 20-year-old white female unemployed Manalapan New Jersey resident, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and found to have an active warrant out of Manalapan Township for $164.00.  She was arrested, processed, and released after posting bail.  Incident handled by Ptl. Charles Mazzatto.

14MN26853 – Theft

This agency is currently investigating multiple copper wire thefts from a business on Main Street in Manalapan Township.  All of the incidents have been captured on video surveillance and involved the same suspect.  This agency is requesting public assistance in identifying the pictured suspect.  Anyone that is able to identify the suspect is asked to contact Detective Jared Aronson at 732-446-8371. 

14MN28552-Fraud

On Friday October 3, 2014 at 5:15 pm this agency responded to Best Buy for a fraud investigation.  Two black males had entered the store and attempted to purchase high-end electronics with what was believed to be counterfeit $100 bills and credit cards.  The subjects became nervous when asked for ID and fled the area leaving the electronics behind at the checkout line.  They left the area in a white Chevy bearing PA-JPC6389.  This investigation is being handled by Ptl. Anthony Cascella.

14MN28626-Assault

On Saturday October 4, 2014, at 9:10 pm, this agency responded to a Wood Avenue residence for a physical altercation.  The 53 year-old black male resident related that he was assaulted by his daughter’s 36 year-old boyfriend.  He indicated that they were both drinking when the argument broke out.  As a result of the investigation, it was determined that neither party wanted to pursue the incident, and that no injuries were reported.  This incident was handled by Ptl. Anthony Cascella. 

14MN28613 – Obstruction of Justice

On Saturday October 4th, 2014 at approximately 5:25 pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler initiated a motor vehicle stop in the Verizon parking lot, located at 55 US Highway 9 South.  The driver of the vehicle, Michael O. Steiger, 34 year-old unemployed white male Howell Township resident, exited his vehicle and began to approach the officers marked patrol vehicle.  Steiger was ordered numerous times to return to his vehicle but refused to comply with the officer’s orders.  He was placed under arrest for Obstruction of Justice and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters.  Steiger was processed and later released on a summons with a mandatory court appearance. 

14MN28595-ID Theft

On Saturday October 4, 2014 at 12:31 pm, the victim, a 49 year-old white male Manalapan resident responded to this agency to report ID Theft.  He related that an unknown actor(s) made several unauthorized purchases on his credit card.  The case is under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.    

14MN28576 – Warrant Arrest

 On Saturday October 4, 2014 at approximately 1:29 am, Michael F. Karabin 2nd, a 40 year-old white male who resides in Manalapan, New Jersey, was arrested at Old Bridge Police Headquarters by Ptl. Matthew Mattia, for a warrant out of Manalapan Township.  He was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in lieu of $1,000.00 bail. 

14MN28533-Receiving Stolen Property

 On Friday Oct. 3, 2014 at 5:57 pm, Katarzyna Dylewska a 29 year-old white female Morrisville, PA resident, employed as a babysitter was arrested for receiving stolen property.  Dylewska was operating a Nissan Pathfinder that was bearing a stolen New Jersey license plate.  She was arrested, processed and released on a summons, and the vehicle was impounded.  Ptl. Jeff Emslie handled the investigation.    

14MN28546-Warrant Arrest

 On Friday October 3rd, 2014 at approximately 4:34 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta was dispatched to the lobby of the Manalapan Township Police Department for a male subject turning himself in on an outstanding arrest warrant.  Upon arrival, the subject was identified as 25 year-old white male Manalapan resident Andrew J. Pinto.  Pinto, who works as a maintenance employee, was found to have a $209.00 outstanding arrest warrant out of Marlboro Township Municipal Court.  Pinto was arrested, processed, and released from police custody, pending a court date with Marlboro Municipal Court.   

14MN28477- Warrant Arrest

 On Friday October 3, 2014 at approximately 12:30 am, Ptl. John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle on Route 9 after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Katherine Ingravallo, a 47 year-old self employed white female residing in Brooklyn, NY, was found to have an active traffic warrant for $89.00 issued for her arrest out of Springfield Township Municipal Court.  Ingravallo was processed at the Manalapan Township Police Department and was released after posting bail and being issued motor vehicle citations.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest.     

14MN28451 – Warrant Arrest

 On Thursday October 2, 2014 at approximately 7:15 pm, Sarah M. Kaback, a 23 year-old unemployed, white female who resides in Old Bridge, New Jersey, surrendered herself for an active traffic warrant out of Manalapan, in the amount of $164.00.  Kaback was processed, and released upon posting cash bail.  Ptl. Mathew Meyler handled the arrest.  

14MN28414- Warrat Arrest

On 10-02-14 at 1:49 pm, Gabrielle E. Collaso an 18 year old, white, female, Manalapan resident, employed in sales, was stopped for a motor vehicle violation and found to have an active warrant out of Freehold Township for $395.00.  Collaso was arrested and transported to the Manalapan Police Department, where she posted bail and was processed and released without incident.  Ptl. Jeff Emslie handled the arrest.   

14MN28404- Warrant Arrest 

On 10-2-14 at 11:17 am, Chawn Givens, A 29 year old Black male, employed as a laborer from Manalapan Township, turned himself in on an outstanding warrant out of Wall Township.  Givens posted $1000 cash bail, and was processed and released pending a new court date.  Ptl. Seth Kreizman handled the incident.  

14MN28387-Extortion 

On October 2, 2014 at 9:57 am, the victim a 22 year-old white male Manalapan resident responded to this agency to report being extorted.  The suspect attempted to extort the victim out of $500.00 via the internet, using a Facebook account.  The incident is under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie.   

14MN28341 - Warrant Arrest 

On Wednesday, October 01, 2014 at approximately 5:15 pm, Dontez A. Thorpe, a 23 year-old unemployed black male, Manalapan resident turned himself in on one active criminal warrant.  Mr. Thorpe had an active criminal warrant out of Freehold Borough for $208.00.  Thorpe was arrested by Ptl. Adam Sosnowski, and was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.    

14MN28246- Possession of Heroin and Controlled Dangerous Substance/Hypodermic Syringes/Paraphernalia 

On September 30, 2014 at approximately 3:48 PM, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis conducted a motor vehicle stop for motor vehicle violations on Woodward Road near Village Road. Through police investigation the driver identified as Garrett Sorrento, a 20 year old white male, employed as a buser, from Ocean Township was found to be in possession of heroin, hypodermic syringes, paraphernalia, and prescription medication without a prescription.  The subject was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters, processed, and released on complaint summonses.  The subject was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses and has a future mandatory court date in Manalapan Township Municipal Court.    

14MN28208 – Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at approximately 12:06 PM, Ptl. Christopher Oleksy was patrolling the Route 9 corridor, when he conducted a motor vehicle stop.  Ptl. Christopher Oleksy identified the driver as Michael Ghaida, a white male, self-employed, Manalapan resident with an active warrant out of the City of Elizabeth for $150.00.  Michael was placed under arrest and was transported to headquarters, where he was processed, and released after posted the full bail amount.    

14MN28249 - Warrant Arrest 

On Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at approximately 4:00 pm, Oleg J. Shnaider, 50 year old, white male, self-employed, Manalapan resident turned himself in on two active traffic warrants.  Shnaider had an active warrant out of Manalapan Township for $500 and another out of Englishtown Borough for $164.  Shnaider was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.  Ptl. Richard Gallo handled the arrest.   

14MN28174 – Warrant Arrest 

On Tuesday September 30th 2014 at approximately 9:00 am, Jason Zajaczkowski, a 38 year old, white male, unemployed Cliffwood resident, turned himself in on an active traffic warrant from Manalapan for $164.  Jason was arrested, processed then released after posting the full bail amount.  Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the arrest.  

14MN28112 – Warrant Arrest 

On Monday September 29, 2014 at approximately 3:45 pm, Carlos Lliguicota-Rivera (a 31-year-old Hispanic male construction worker who resides in Hyattsvile, Maryland) turned himself in on an active warrant out of Manalapan Township for $500.00.  Rivera was processed and released after posting bail with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Ptl. Sean McCarthy handled the arrest. 

14MN28112 – Warrant Arest 

On Monday September 29, 2014 at approximately at 1:00 pm, Helary Depigney, a 29 year-old black unemployed Richmond, Virginia resident, turned himself in on two active warrants out of Manalapan Township for a total bail amount of $750.00.  Depigney was processed and released, after the Manalapan Township Municipal Court recalled both warrants.  Ptl. Sean McCarthy handled the arrest.  

14MN28057 – Warrant Arrest 

On Monday September 29th, 2014 at approximately 9:00 am, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2001 Ford van.  The passenger, Jonathan Ramos, 26 year-old white male, Howell resident, employed as an auto technician, was found to have an active traffic warrant from Howell Township for $750.  Mr. Ramos was arrested, processed, and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of the bail.    

14MN28044 – Robbery 

On Monday, 9/29/14, at approximately 2:20 am, Patrol Officer Kimberly Whitehill and Patrolman Dennis O’Brien were dispatched to the Valero Gas Station (391 US Highway 9, Manalapan, NJ) for a report of a robbery that had just occurred.  Upon arrival, officers learned that an unknown male suspect that was holding a knife approached an employee.  The suspect demanded money from the employee.  The employee turned over assorted US currency and the suspect ran from the business towards Tennent Road.  The suspect is described as a white male wearing a zippered gray hooded sweatshirt, and had a dark colored cloth covering his face.  A K-9 from the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene and conducted a track leading towards Tennent Road.  Patrol officers conducted a canvass of the area surrounding the incident.  No injuries were reported as a result of the incident.  Detective Jared Aronson is investigating this incident.  Anyone having any information regarding this incident should contact the Manalapan Township Police Department at (732) 446-4300.  

 14MN27944 – Fire Call 

At approximately 4:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 28, 2014, Ptl. Matthew Mattia, Ptl. George Heitz, Ptl. Kimberly Whitehill, Ptl. Dennis O’Brien, and Sergeant Leonard Maltese responded to Marianne Manor, located at 327 Route 33 in Manalapan Township for a fire alarm activation and report of a smoke condition in the building.  Staff members evacuated all residents, and located the fire on a bed, in a room that was unoccupied at the time of the call.  The staff member extinguished the fire prior to emergency personnel response utilizing a fire extinguisher.  It appears at this time that the fire was accidental in nature and no injuries were reported as a result of this incident.  The Millhurst and Millstone Fire Companies, as well as the Englishtown Manalapan First Aid Squad, also responded to the incident.  No damage was reported to the building.   

 14MN28408 – Theft 

On Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 11:40 am, Ptl. Ross Dessel responded to police headquarters for a theft report.  The victim, a 41 year-old white male Manalapan Township resident, paid $600.00 on March 21, 2014 to a landscaping company, for a summer fertilization program that was not rendered.  The owner of the company and suspect is a 57 year-old, white male, Manalapan Township resident.

  14MN27721- Warrant Arrest

 On Friday September 26, 2014 at 8:41 am, Ptl. Reginald Grant conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 South.  The driver Richard Leone, 26-year-old white male Jackson resident, who is employed as an appliance delivery person, was found to have an active warrant out of Bradley Beach for $385.00.  Mr. Leone was later arrested and transported to headquarters, where he was processed and released after posting bail. Leone was also given two motor vehicle summonses.  Ptl. Reggie Grant was the arresting officer.      

 14MN27811-Warrant Arrest

 On Friday September 26th, 2014 at approximately 8:19 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Conmack Lane after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The operator, identified as 35-year-old white male Manalapan resident, Anthony A. Lombardi, was determined to have a suspended driver’s license.  Monmouth County Police Radio located an active outstanding arrest warrant for Lombardi, issued out of the Englishtown Borough Municipal Court for $1,500.00.  Lombardi, who is a business owner, was arrested, processed, and released from police custody after posting the full bail amount.  Lombardi was issued two motor vehicle summonses that are pending court.   

 14MN27802-Credit Card Fraud

 On Friday September 26, 2014 at approximately 6:00 pm, a 32 yr old white female Manalapan resident responded to Police Headquarters regarding credit card fraud against her.  Unknown subject(s) gained access to her First Swiss Club Bank credit card number and made two $500.00 debits at a Target store in Westbury, NY.  The account has since been closed with the bank.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella took the report.   

 14MN27788-Warrant Arrest

On Friday September 26, 2014 at approximately 4:00 pm, Ptl. Kyle Earley arrested Nicole Curto on an outstanding traffic warrant out of Jackson, NJ for $151.00.  Nicole is a 23-year-old white female para-professional from Manalapan, NJ.  She was transported to police headquarters where she was processed and released after posting bail.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella processed the arrest.   

 14MN27708- Theft

 On Friday September 26, 2014, at approximately 1:52 am, Ptl. Matthew Mattia responded to the Marianne Manor on Highway 33 for a report of theft.  The victim (a 57-year-old black female Manalapan resident) reported that $13.00 in cash and other items were stolen from her purse.  At this time, there are currently no suspects.  This case is pending further investigation.    

 14MN27688-Warrant Arrest

 On Thursday September 25th, 2014 at approximately 8:34 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Secretariat Drive after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The operator identified as 25-year-old white female East Windsor resident Madonna M. Argento.  Ms. Argento was determined to have an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $354.00.  Ms. Argento, who is a sales associate, was arrested, processed, and released from police custody after posting the full bail amount.  Ms. Argento was issued one motor vehicle ticket.  

 14MN27586-Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Drug Paraphernalia

 On Wednesday September 24th, 2014 at approximately 8:54 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta was monitoring traffic on Pease Road and observed a green colored Saturn fail to stop at a flashing red light. A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Blenheim Road near Pine Brook Road.  During the investigation, the operator was identified as 36 year old white male Old Bridge resident Michael P Burns. Burns, who is a self employed contractor, was later placed under arrest for being in Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Burns was arrested, processed, and released from police custody pending a court date to appear.

 14MN27559 – Fraud

 On September 24, 2014 at 4:35 pm, Ptl. Brian Cruse responded to Dartmoor Drive for a report of Fraud.  The victim, a 67 year old white female Manalapan resident reported that she received a text message and a phone call on her cell phone from a person stating they were from Wells Fargo Bank.  The caller asked for the victim’s social security number and bank card number.  Investigation revealed the call was a phishing scam designed to obtain the victim’s information.  Patrolman Brian Cruse is further investigating this case. 

 14MN27565- Warrant Arrest

 On September 24, 2014, at approximately 5:14 PM, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis conducted a motor vehicle stop for a motor vehicle violation on Kinney Road near Thompson Grove Road.  The passenger identified as Tajmateen Hall, a 24 year old black male, self-employed DJ, from Manalapan, was found to have an active traffic warrant for his arrest from East Brunswick Municipal Court for $89.00. The subject was placed under arrest, transported to police headquarters for processing, posted bail in full, and released. The driver of the vehicle was issued two motor vehicle summonses. 

 14MN27569- Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday, September 24, 2014, at approximately 5:20 pm, The Howell Township Police Department arrested Alexa Wein, a 20 year old unemployed white female Howell resident, on an active traffic warrant issued for her arrest out of The Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00.  Wein was transported to The Manalapan Township Police Department where she was processed and was able to post bail.  Wein was released pending a court date of September 29, 2014 at 9:00 am at The Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest.    

 14MN27534­ – Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday September 24, 2014, at approximately 12:30 pm, Vincent Matarazzo III (a 54-year-old white male, paper deliverer and Jackson resident) turned himself in on an active warrant from Manalapan Township for $1,000.00.  Matarazzo was processed and released after posting bail with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Ptl. Sean McCarthy handled the arrest.   

14MN27512 – Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday September 24, 2014, at approximately 10:30 am, Salam Ghaida, 44-year-old middle-eastern female, self employed Manalapan resident, turned herself in on an active traffic warrant from Manalapan Township for $164. Ms. Ghaida was processed then released after posting full bail. Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the arrest.

 14MN27495 – Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday September 24, 2014, at approximately 9:00 am, Travis Schwerthoffer, 19-year-old white male Manalapan resident, employed as security agent, turned himself in on an active criminal warrant from Manalapan Township for $1000.  Mr. Schwerthoffer was processed then released after posting bail.  Ptl. Kyle Earley handled the arrest.

 14MN27415- Theft

 On Tuesday September 23, 2014, at approximately 11:45 am, Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to the area of Gordon’s Corner for a report of theft.  The victim, an 82-year-old white female Manalapan resident, discovered $1,300 dollars in cash and approximately $2,500 dollars worth of jewelry were removed from her home.  At this time, it is unknown who removed the items from the residence.  This case is pending further investigation. 

 14MN27389 – Recovered Stolen Vehicle

 On Tuesday September 23, 2014 at approximately 9:00 am, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2000 Mitsubishi Gallant.  During the investigation it was determined the vehicle was reported stolen from Bayonne two weeks prior. The driver, Arlene Alix, 46 year old Asian female unemployed East Brunswick resident, was arrested for the theft of the vehicle. Ms. Alix was processed then released on a criminal summons for receiving stolen property and two motor vehicle summons.  Ms. Alix was given a court date in Manalapan.   

14MN27433 – Theft

 On Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at 3:00 pm, a 23-year-old male Manalapan resident reported that an unknown actor had removed $3080.00 out of his bank account.  The theft came after the victim received a fraudulent text message representing themselves as being from the victim’s bank, and requesting the victim’s social security number.  The report was taken by Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky.   

14MN27416-Theft

 On Tuesday September 23, 2014 at 12:08 pm, a 59-year-old White male and resident of Brick Township had his vehicle parked in the driveway of a Neal Drive residence. While the vehicle was parked unknown actor(s) removed a portable air compressor valued at $100.00 from the vehicles interior.  Ptl. Peter Curran is investigating.  

 14MN27356-Warrant Arrest

 On Monday, September 22, 2014 at 8:08 pm, Kenneth Titus (21 yr old white male tow truck driver from Englishtown) turned himself in at police headquarters.  Kenneth had an outstanding warrant for $156.00 out of Englishtown, NJ.  He was arrested and processed before posting bail and being released.  The arrest was handled by Ptl. Anthony Cascella.

 14MN27334 – Burglary/Criminal Mischief/Criminal Trespass

 On Monday September 22, 2014 at approximately 3:15 pm, Ptl. Christopher Makwinski and Pt. Sean McCarthy responded to West Parsonage Way for a report of a burglarized residence. After an interior and exterior check, forced entry was found in one of the rear windows.  The residence was found to have multiple missing items to include jewelry clothes, watches, and cash.  Detective Charles Alaimo responded to the scene to assist with the investigation.  Anyone with information regarding this matter Please contact Patrolman Christopher Makwinski or Detective Charles Alaimo of the Manalapan Township Police Department.   

 14MN27320- Warrant Arrest

 On Monday, September 22, 2014 at approximately 1:00 pm, Alexis Valera Jr., a 22 year old white unemployed male residing in Manalapan Township turned himself into the Manalapan Township Police Department on an active warrant out of Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $240.00.  Valera was processed and released after posting the full bail amount.  Ptl. Sean McCarty handled the arrest.   

 14MN27177- Warrant Arrest

 On Sunday, September 21, 2014 at approximately 9:40 am, Ptl. Kenneth Mikulik conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 33 east near Sweetmans Lane on a vehicle being driven by 42 year old Gonzalo Villalobox-Tovar of East Windsor (Hispanic male, laborer).  During this stop, Tovar was found to have a $1,000 criminal warrant that was issued for his arrest out of the Boro of Bradley Beach.  His driver’s license was also found to be suspended.  Tovar was arrested, posted bail, and released with a motor vehicle summons.  Ptl. Mikulik was the arresting officer.    

 14MN27182 – Warrant Arrest

 On Sunday September 21, 2014 at approximately 10:00 am, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2013 Jeep.  The driver, Patrick Darcy, 26-year-old white male Marlboro resident employed as a medical assistant, was found to have an active traffic warrant from Robbinsville for $500, and a suspended driver’s license.  Mr. Darcy was arrested, transported to headquarters where he was processed then released after posting full bail amount.  Mr. Darcy was issued three motor vehicle summonses and given a court date in both towns.  

 Incident 14MN27151 –Burglary/Theft/Criminal Mischief

On Saturday, September 20th, 2014 at approximately 10:35pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler investigated a burglary that occurred hours in the past. The St. Andrews Place residence was forcibly entered through the back door and several items of property were removed from the residence, including jewelry. It is unknown at this time the exact amount of property that was removed from the residence. Detective Jared Aronson and Ptl. Philip Accatatta assisted with the investigation. Anyone with information in reference to this investigation is encouraged to contact the Manalapan Township Police Department. This case is being further investigated.

Incident 14MN27025 – Warrant Arrest

On Friday September 19th, 2014 at 2:30pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler arrested Sender J. Kaszirer (43 year old white male Lakewood resident who is employed as a School Principal. Kaszirer had an outstanding traffic warrant for his arrest from Manalapan in the amount of $164.00. Kaszirer was processed and later released upon posting bail in full with the court.

Incident 14MN27010 – Warrant Arrests

On Friday, September 19th, 2014 at approximately 12:55 pm, Ptl. Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle on Route 33 for a motor vehicle violation. It was found that the driver, Ryan A Sova, a 31 year old white male of Little Egg Harbor who is employed by the government, had a suspended driver's license and the vehicle was uninsured and unregistered. Mr. Sovaalso had five traffic warrants for his arrest totaling $3790.00; Manalapan Township for $1500.00, Howell Township for $750.00, New Hanover Township for $750.00, North Hanover Township for $500.00, and Bordentown Township for $290.00. Mr. Sova was arrested and the vehicle was impounded. Mr. Sova posted bail and was released with five motor vehicle summonses.

Incident 14MN26923 - Shoplifting

On Thursday September 18th, 2014 at approximately 6:58pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta responded to the Marshalls located at 55 U.S Highway 9 south in regards to a theft of property complaint. Upon arrival, the assistant manager advised two female subjects and a male subject entered the store. The male subject later exited the store and opened the entrance door viathe motion sensor. After the entrance door was ajar, the two females ran out of the entrance door carrying an undetermined amount of merchandise. The aforementioned subjects entered a white Mercedes bearing partial New Jersey registration"Z47" and fled the area. This case is pending further investigation.

Incident 14MN26919 – Theft of Property

On September 18th, 2014 at 5:58pm there was a theft reported at the Manalapan Recreation Center. Two I phones and car keys were stolen totaling $700. The two victims (14 year old white male Manalapan resident and 23 year old white male Morganville resident) left their items unattended while they were playing basketball. At this time it is unknown who took items. This case is currently being investigated by Ptl. Eric Voorand.

Incident 14MN26921 – Theft of Property

On September 18th, 2014 at 5:25pm there was a theft reported from a detached garage on Smithburg Road. The victim, a 53 year old white female of Manalapan, reported that several items that were new in boxes were stolen from the garage totaling $7090.00. This incident was investigated Ptl. Sosnowski and turned over to Detective Donatelli.

Incident 14MN26684 – Warrant Arrest

On Tuesday September 16th,2014 at 8:16 pm, Ptl. Chris Oleksy arrested Scott Katzelnick a 27 year old, unemployed, white male, Manalapan resident, on an active and valid warrant out of Hamilton Township for a total of $20,000.00. Scott was transported to Manalapan Township Police Department. Scott was processedas per department policy and was released to Hamilton Township Police Department. MH122

Incident 14MN26540 - Possession of DrugParaphernalia/Weapons Offense

On Monday, September 15,2014 at approximately 3:15 pm, Ptl. Kenneth Mikulik conducted a motor vehiclestop in the area of Woodward Roadon a 1994 Chrysler being driven by 26 year old Matthew Asciutto (W/M, Student)of Manalapan. During this stop, Asciutto was found to be in possession of a prohibited knife, syringes, and other drug paraphernalia. Asciutto was arrested andcharged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of syringes, and was issued a motor vehicle summons for failing to wear his seatbelt. Asciutto was released on his own recognizance with a court date in Manalapan Township Municipal Court.

Incident 14MN26578 – Warrant Arrest

On Monday September 15th,2014 at 10:45pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler arrested Marc E. Weber (48 year old whitemale Manalapan resident who is employed as a Dentist) at his home. Weber had two outstanding traffic warrants for his arrest. One warrant was in the amount of $156.00 from Manalapan and the other in the amount of $1,000.00 from Freehold Township. Weber was transported to Manalapan Township Police Department where he was processed and later releasedupon posting bail.

Incident 14MN26549 – Criminal Attempt

On 09/15/2014 at approximately 4:00 PM a unknown white male subject approximately 50-60 yearsold wearing a white tank top, silver shorts, and flip flops entered the CVS on Woodward Road. The subject was carrying an empty bag, and immediately caught the staff's attention. The subject put a pack of blank CDs in his bag and attempted to return the items to the store. The staff confronted the subject and an argument ensued. Upon patrols arrival the suspect left in a dark colored vehicle heading in a unknown direction. Security footage was taken into evidence. Ptl.Christopher Makwinski is handling the investigation.

Incident 14MN26536 - Warrant Arrest

On 9-15-14 at 2:49 pm, Stephanie Rodriguez, a 20 year old Hispanic female who is currently unemployed from North Bergen, turned herself in to this agency on an outstanding warrant out of Manalapan for $304. Rodriguez posted cash bail and signed the bail waiver. Ptl Seth Kreizman documented the incident.

Incident 14MN26402 – Possession of Narcotics

On Sunday, September 14,2014 at approximately 12:30am, James Bryant Shelton, a 20 year old white-male employed as a waiter whom resides in Freehold, was stopped while operating amotor vehicle on US Highway 9 S in Manalapan for a motor vehicle violation. Subsequently, Mr. Shelton was found to have a suspended driver's license and to be in possession of a controlled dangerous substance, specifically marijuana. Mr. Shelton was arrested, processed and released on summonses. Ptl. William Dutton was the arresting officer.

Incident 14MN26871-Warrant Arrest

On Thursday September 18,2014 at approximately 11:56 am, Riaz Waseem, a 33 year old Indian male who isself employed and resides in West Babylon, NY, turned himself in on a traffic warrant out of Manalapan Twp. Riaz posted his bail and was scheduled for court on October 6th, 2014. Riaz was processed and released with out incident. Ptl. Letts was the arresting officer.

Incident 14MN26891- Warrant Arrest

On Thursday September 18,2014 at approximately 2:25 pm, Gregory Dixon, a 33 year old black male who is employed, as a street sweeper and resides in Trenton, NJ, turned himself in on a traffic warrant out of Manalapan Twp. Dixon posted his bail and signed the bail waiver. Dixon was processed and released with out incident. Ptl. Jean Letts was the arresting officer.

Incident 14MN21764 – Possession of Narcotics

On August 1st 2014 at 5:47 pm Manalapan patrol units responded to the parking lot of Wells Fargo Bank (365Rt. 9) in reference to a possible intoxicated person. Investigation revealed Leland Wilsey (25 yearold white male Manalapan resident, employed as a lifeguard) and Marlena Pliszak(a 22 year old white female Morganville resident, unknown employment) were inpossession of various controlled dangerous substances. Leland was arrested and charged withPossession of Heroin, Possession of Suboxone, and Possession of Controlled Dangerous Substance in a motor vehicle and driving with an expired Driver's License. Pliszak was arrested and charged with Possesion of Heroin, Possession of Subutex and Possession of Controlled Dangerpous Substance in a motor vehicle. They were both released on summons. This case was handled by Ptl. Bryan.Belardo.


14MN26381-Possession of a Less Than 50 Grams of Marijuana and Drug Paraphernalia

 On Saturday September 13th, 2014 at approximately 4:48pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta was dispatched to a Justin Way address in regards to several subjects smoking marijuana. Upon arrival, a 19 year old white male Manalapan resident identified as Travis J Schwerthoffer was found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Schwerthoffer, who is currently unemployed was arrested, processed, and released from police custody pending a court date to appear. Additionally, while on scene a 16 year old black male Millstone resident was also found to be in possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana. The juvenile who is not employed was arrested, processed, and formal juvenile charges were transferred to the Monmouth County Superior Court for review. Patrolman Eric Voorand and Patrolman Adam Sosnowski assisted in the investigation.

 14MN26386-Possession Narcotics/Possession Hypodermic Needles

 On Saturday September 13, 2014 at 5:40PM this agency responded to Lewis St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at the end of the roadway.  Subsequent investigation revealed the driver to be in possession of narcotics, (illegal prescription medication), as well as hypodermic needles.  Spencer Gross, 38 yr old white male who resides in Eatontown and works as a window glazier, was arrested.  He was processed and released pending a court date.  The arrest was handled by Ptl. Anthony Cascella and assisted by Ptl. Matthew Meyler.

 14MN26373 – Driving While Intoxicated/Warrant Arrest

 On Saturday September 13th, 2014 at approximately 2:15pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler responded to the area of US Highway 9 South in reference to a motor vehicle collision with no injuries. The driver of one of the vehicles, Joseph L. Diamond (45 year old white male Staten Island, NY resident who is employed as an Auto- Mechanic) was found to be operating his vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Diamond also had two outstanding traffic warrants for his arrest, one from Little Egg Harbor in the amount of $200.00 and the other from Egg Harbor Township in the amount of $112.00. Diamond was arrested and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters. Diamond was processed and posted bail on his active warrants in full.  Diamond was released with a mandatory court appearance of Monday October 20th, 2014 at 9:00am. Ptl. Charles Mazzatto and Ptl. Christopher Makwinski assisted in the investigation.  

 14MN26370 – Harassment

 On Saturday September 13, 2014 at approximately 1:11 PM a white 54 Year old male Manalapan resident from Knox Lane reported harassment from his next door neighbor, a 52 year old white male Manalapan resident. The complainant alleged the suspect engaged him in a verbal argument, and acted as if he was going to assault him. The complainant advised he and the suspect have had issues for a few years.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the report.  

 14MN26331-Warrant Arrest

 On Friday September 12th at 9:53pm a 48 yr old white female Manalapan resident employed as a bus driver, turned herself in regarding an outstanding traffic warrant out of Manalapan for $500.00.  Michelle Cavallaro was arrested and subsequently processed before posting $500.00 bail.  She was given a court date regarding the summonses.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella processed the arrest. 

 14MN26250 – Harassment

 On Friday, September 12, 2014 at approximately 9:00 AM, a 27 year old white male Timber Lane resident reported he has been receiving harassing messages from a 41 year old Indian female from Sayreville.  The victim related the harassing messages have been over a span of nine months and wanted to report the matter to this agency.  Ptl. Makwinski handled the report. 

 14MN26148 – Warrant Arrest

 On Thursday September 11, 2014, at approximately 9:30am, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1997 Buick sedan for an equipment violation. The passenger, Evan Happel, 29 year old white male Marlboro resident employed as a salesman, was found to have an active criminal warrant for burglary from Piscataway for $50,000. Evan was arrested, processed then turned over to Piscataway PD on default bail.

 14MN26107 – Burglary

 On Wednesday September 10, 2014 at approximately 6:15 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to a residence on Symmes Drive for a report of a burglary.  A 57 year old white female resident and a 59 year old white male resident reported unknown actor(s) broke into their home through a rear window and stole various amounts of jewelry with an estimated total value of $6,650.00.  The residence was broken into on September 10, 2014 between 8:00 am and 6:10 pm.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Manalapan Police Department (732) 446-4300. 

 14MN26058- Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday 9/10/14 at approximately 11:50 am, Joshua Ho  (25-year-old self-employed Asian male, Marlboro resident) turned himself in on a $164 traffic warrant out of Manalapan.  Joshua was processed, posted bail and released.  Ptl. Peter Curran handled the arrest. 

 14MN25932- Hit and Run Motor Vehicle Accident

 On Monday, September 9, 2014 at approximately 5:05 am, Ptl. Peter Curran responded to Villanova Drive and Old Queens Blvd. for a report of a hit and run motor vehicle collision.  An unoccupied vehicle that was parked on Villanova Drive, near the intersection of Old Queens Blvd., was struck by an unknown vehicle that subsequently left the scene.  It is believed that the vehicle left the area on Old Queens Blvd heading towards Gordon’s Corner Road.  Anyone with any information regarding the identity of the vehicle that fled the scene is asked to please contact the Manalapan Police Dept. at 732-446-4300.  Ptl. Peter Curran is investigating the incident. 

 14MN25957- Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday 9/9/14 at approximately 12:15 pm, James Caruso (25-year-old self-employed white male, Manalapan resident) turned himself in on a $290 traffic warrant out of Manalapan.  James was processed, posted bail and released.  Ptl. Bart Mattaliano handled the arrest. 

 14MN25800 – Defiant Trespass / Possession of Heroin / Possession of Hypodermic Needles

 On Sunday, September 7th, 2014 at approximately 4pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler responded to the area of Iris Circle in reference to a suspiciously parked vehicle in the area. Upon further investigation, two subjects, Matthew D. Feit, 23 year old unemployed white male Manalapan resident, and Paul M. Pawlik, 22 year old unemployed white male Manalapan resident, were located in the wooded area off of Iris Court, marked by “Posted: No Trespassing” signs. Both were found to be in possession of heroin and Matthew Feit was found in possession of two hypodermic needles. Both subjects were placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Township Police Headquarters where they were processed and released pending a court appearance. Ptl. Adam Sosnowski and Ptl. Philip Accatatta were on scene and assisted in the investigation.

 14MN25752- DWI

 On Sunday, September 7, 2014 at approximately 12:45 am, Ptl, John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on a blue mini van on Route 9 South after observing a motor vehicle violation.  Upon further investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Andriy Pyontyk, a 35 year old white male truck driver from Pennsylvania, was found to be under the influence of alcohol.  Pyontyk was transported to The Manalapan Township Police Department to be processed.  Pyontyk refused to give breath samples and was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and refusing to submit to breathe samples.  Pyontyk was also charged with several other motor vehicle violations.  Pyontyk was processed and released into the custody of a friend, pending a court date of October 20, 2014 at The Manalapan Township Municipal Court at 9:00 am.  Ptl. 14MN25727 – DWI, Leaving the Scene of a Crash

 On 09/06/2014 at 7:02pm, Ptl. Eric Voorand responded to US Hwy 9 South for a report of an erratic driver complaint.  While en route to the scene it was reported that the vehicle was involved in a crash.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that the vehicle was involved in a motor vehicle crash about a half a mile up the road and left the scene of the crash.  The vehicle stopped in the Wendy’s parking lot because it had a flat tire and could not be driven any further.  The driver (Christopher Saunders – 38 year old white male, Jackson resident, Solar Installer) was arrested and charged with DWI, Leaving the Scene of a Crash, Failure to Report a Crash, Reckless Driving, Careless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, and Operating an Unsafe Vehicle.  Ptl. Voorand made the arrest.

 14 MN25608 Warrant Arrest

 On 9-5-14 at 2:14pm Ptl Kreizman was monitoring traffic on State Highway 33. He affected a car stop on a 2004 Ford Escape for numerous equipment violations. The driver, Charles Arcano (a 41-year-old Asian male from Cherry Hill who is employed as a lab tech) was found to have an outstanding $100 warrant from East Windsor. He was placed under arrest and processed. Arcano posted cash bail and was released with a court date. Ptl Seth Kreizman made the arrest. 

 14MN25522-Warrant Arrest

 On Thursday September 4th, 2014 at approximately 4:00pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta responded to the lobby of the Manalapan Township Police Department in regards to a male subject turning himself in on an outstanding arrest warrant. Upon arrival, the subject was identified as 38-year-old Hispanic male South River resident, Fortino Sanchez-Botello. The warrant was issued out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $500.00. Sanchez-Botello, who is currently unemployed was arrested, processed, and released from police custody pending a court date to appear after posting bail in full.   

  14MN25490- Theft 

 On Thursday, September 4, 2014 at approximately 10:20 am Ptl. John Lightbody responded to Burke’s Pumps in Manalapan Township for a report of theft of copper wiring.  The wiring was taken sometime during the night hours between September 3, 2014 and September 4, 2014.  The wiring is valued at approximately $400.00.  If anyone has any further information regarding this case they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department.  Ptl.  14MN25494-Theft/Check Fraud

On September 4, 2014 at 11:01 am the victim, a 46-year-old white female Manalapan resident, reported a theft of two personal checks.  The stolen checks were eventually endorsed and cashed by an unknown suspect.  The case is under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie. 

 14MN25446Robbery

 On September 3, 2014 at approximately 8:40 pm, three suspects (one black male and two black females) entered the Marshalls located on Route 9 South in Manalapan.  The three suspects filled three bags of stolen merchandise from the store.  A fourth unidentified suspect was waiting in the parking lot inside an unidentified white Chevrolet van.  The three suspects then fled the store with the three bags of stolen merchandise and entered the van.  While fleeing the store, a customer, identified as a 51 year old white female was struck by one of the bags filled with merchandise, resulting in a minor injury.  The van fled the scene in an unknown direction.  If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact this agency.  This report was handled by Ptl.  14MN25318 – Harassment

 On 9-2-14 at1:11pm Ptl. Ross Dessel responded to headquarters for a harassment report.  The victim, a 43 year old white female, Manalapan resident, reported that she has been receiving harassing text messages from a family member of a painting contractor she had hired in the past . 

 14MN25363- Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at approximately 10:07 pm, India Coleman, a 35 year old black female, food sanitizer from Manalapan was arrested at a residence on Justin Way for three outstanding warrants.  Coleman had a $1,500 warrant out of Holmdel Twp. Municipal Court, $777 warrant out of Aberdeen Twp. Municipal Court, and $264 warrant out of Middletown Twp. Municipal Court.  Coleman was turned over to Holmdel Twp. Police Department on the outstanding warrant.  Ptl. Richard Gallo handled the arrest.   

 14MN25321- Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday September 2, 2014 at approximately 1:45 pm, Dewain Gibbs, a 42 year old black male car salesman from East Brunswick, responded to the Manalapan Township Police Department to retrieve his vehicle that was impounded in a prior incident.  Gibbs was found to have an active traffic warrant issued for his arrest out of Monmouth beach Municipal Court for $250.00.  Gibbs was able to post bail and was released on his own recognizance.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest. 

 14MN25312- Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday September 2, 2014 at approximately 11:40 am, Alexandra Meskin, a 27 year old white female loan officer residing in Manalapan, turned herself in to Manalapan Township Police Department on an active traffic warrant issued for her arrest out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $164.00.  Meskin was able to post bail and was released.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest.

 14MN25284 – Warrant Arrest

 On 9-2-14 at 8:53 am, Brad Moini, a 43 year old white male from Freehold, NJ, who is currently self-employed, was arrested on a motor vehicle stop on an active warrant out of Freehold Borough for $250.00.  He was transported to Police Headquarters and posted cash bail and was released. Ptl Ross Dessel made the arrest. 

 14MN25267- Warrant Arrest

 On Monday September 1, 2014 at approximately 11:00 pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler and Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to the Plainsboro Police Department where Brenda Michieka (50 year old retired black female and Plainsboro resident) was placed under arrest after it was found she had an active warrant out of Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00.  Michieka was transported and turned over to the Monmouth County Correctional Institute on the above mentioned warrant.  The incident was handled by Ptl. Sean McCarthy. 

 14MN25237 – Warrant Arrest

 On Monday September 1, 2014 at approximately 5:00 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to the area of Gordon’s Corner Road and Tuppence Road for a report of a motor vehicle accident.  During an investigation a passenger of one of the involved vehicles was found to have an active warrant out of Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Scott Feinerman a white 26 year old Somerset resident and flooring technician, was found to have an active traffic warrant from Manalapan Township for $164.00.  Feinerman was arrested and transported to headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.  MF 84

 14MN25229 – Warrant Arrest

 On Monday September 1st, 2014 at approximately 3:45pm Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 2007 white box truck. A passenger, William Lindsey, 35 year old black male Brooklyn, NY resident employed as a professional mover, was found to have active traffic warrants from Fort Lee for $490, a national warrant from New York and a national warrant from South Carolina. Mr. Lindsey was arrested and transported to headquarters where he was processed then released after posting bail for the traffic warrants, the other two states did not want to extradite Mr. Lindsey. . The driver of the vehicle was issued multiple summons and given a court date in Manalapan. Ptl. Cascella and Ptl. Mazzatto assisted.

 14MN24167- Warrant Arrest

 On August 23, 2014 at approximately 6:22 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 near Symmes Drive after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver identified as Vladimir Sylne, a black 38 year old male employed as a teacher, was found to have a suspended driver’s license and one criminal warrant out of Jersey City with no bail set.  Mr. Sylne was arrested, processed, and transferred over to the Jersey City Police Department.  Mr. Sylne was issued two motor vehicle summons.

 14MN24167- Warrant Arrest

 On August 23rd, 2014 at approximately 6:25 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on US Highway 9 after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Vladimir Sylne, a 38 year old black male of Jersey City who is employed as a Teacher, had an outstanding criminal warrant out of Jersey City with no bail set. Mr. Sylne was arrested and transported to headquarters, where he was processed, and turned over to the Jersey City Police Department.  Mr. Sylne was also issued two motor vehicle summons with a mandatory court date in Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  

 14MN24100- Robbery

 On August 23, 2014 at approximately 3:56 am, Ptl. Jason Vigneault #134 responded to an Ogden Lane address for a report of a theft.  Upon arrival the victim, a 17 year old white male Manalapan resident, related that he was picking a friend up at the Exxon Station on Rt. 9 North, when two white males in a white sedan pulled up, exited their vehicle, assaulted him and took his cell phone.  The victim went home and tracked his phone via an application on his mothers’ phone, which led patrols to the phone on the side of Craig Road near the Temple Shari Emeth.  The victim and his parents did not wish to pursue this matter further and signed off accordingly.   

14MN24087 – Warrant Arrest

 On August 23, 2014 at 1:23 am, Ptl. Steve Turner arrested Hakeem Waiters, a 36 year old black male, unemployed resident of Jersey City, New Jersey.  Mr. Waiters was taken into custody from the Clementon Police Department, where he had been arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Manalapan for $1000.00.  Mr. Waiters was unable to post bail and remanded to the Monmouth County Jail.  

 14MN24041 – Identity Theft

 On August 22, 2014 at 5:37 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to the Manalapan Township Police Department for a report of identity theft.  The victim, a 31 year old white male Manalapan resident, had his social security number stolen.  On August 22, 2014 at approximately 5:00 pm, the victim’s mother received a phone call from someone claiming to be from the IRS.  The caller was not really from the IRS but the victim’s mother gave the caller his social security number.  The report was handled by Ptl. Sean McCarthy.

 14MN24039 – Warrant Arrest

 On August 22, 2014 at 5:08 pm, Ptl. Peter Curran arrested Gregory E. Molfetta a 22 year old white male student, and resident of Manalapan Township.  Mr. Molfetta responded to  Manalapan Police headquarters to resolve the Freehold Township warrant .  Molfetta posted $500.00 bail, and was processed and released.   

 14MN24027-Harassment

 On August 22, 2014 at 3:25 pm Patrolman Jeff Emslie #116 met with the victim, a 42-year old white female Manalapan resident at headquarters in reference to a harassment complaint.  She related that she has been receiving harassing phone calls and text messages from this female for an extended period of time.  The incident is currently under investigation by Ptl. Jeff Emslie #116.

 14MN24008 Warrant Arrest

 On Friday August 22, 2014 at approximately 2:00 pm Ptl. Reginald Grant and Ptl. Adam Sosnowski responded to the Princeton Township Police Department to pick up Gerard Newell, a 50 year old unemployed white male resident of Lakewood Township.  Gerard has an outstanding criminal warrant out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00.  Gerard was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution where he was remanded pending a new court date in the Manalapan Township Municipal court.  Ptl. Reginald Grant handled the report.    

 14MN24051- Warrant Arrest

 On August 22, 2014 at approximately 7:40 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on Taylor Mills Road after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver identified as Daniel Malave, a white 27 year old male, employed by Tires to Go, was found to have one traffic warrant out of Marlboro Twp for $500.00.  Mr. Malave was arrested, processed, posted bail, and was released.  Mr. Malave was issued one motor vehicle summons.

 14MN23918 – Burglary/Theft

 On August 21, 2014 at 6:23 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to 700 Park Avenue  (Rising Stars Gymnastics Academy) for a report of theft.  The victim, a 56 year old white female resident of Englishtown, reported her pocketbook was stolen from her vehicle between 5:50 pm and 6:10 pm.  The rear passenger window of the vehicle was shattered and her pocketbook which she left on the rear seat was missing.  The pocketbook was described as a Coach bag with an approximate value of $700.00.  If anyone has any information regarding this incident please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department.  The report was handled by Ptl.  14MN23914 – Warrant Arrest

 On August 21, 2014 at 5:56pm, Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky arrested William Olson (30 year old unemployed white male resident of Manalapan ) at Manalapan Police headquarters.  Olson posted $350.00 bail on a Marlboro Township warrant and was released.   

 14MN23910 – Simple Assault

 On August 21, 2014 at 4:58 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy responded to the area of Iron Ore Road and Mount Vernon Road for a report of an assault.  After an investigation it was determined that a 51 year old white male resident of Manalapan Township grabbed the arm of a 21 year old hispanic male resident of Freehold Township.  The assault occurred after the suspect’s vehicle passed the victims vehicle on the left when the victim was attempting to make a left turn.  The report was handled by Ptl. Sean McCarthy.

 14MN23875—Warrant Arrest

 On August 21, 2014 at approximately 9:30 AM, Patrolman Bartholomew Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Union Hill Road near Castle Court, after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The driver identified as a Vincent Lista, a white 47 year old male general contactor from Freehold, New Jersey,  was found to have a $250 warrant from Tinton Falls Municipal Court. Lista was arrested transported to headquarters where he was processed, posted bail, and was released.  Ptl. Bartholomew Mattaliano handled arrest.   


14MN23898 DUI and Drug Arrest

On August 21, 2014 at approximately 2:51pm, Ptl. Jeanie Letts Responded to a call for an intoxicated person at the Starbucks on Route 9 North in Manalapan.  Upon arrival a white male later identified as Michael Santora, age 25 from Marlboro, who worked as a store clerk, was found slumped over is his vehicle.  Michael was found to be intoxicated and was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  Michael was charged with driving while intoxicated and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Michael was released with his summons and a court date in the Manalapan Township Municipal Court. 

 14MN23764- Theft and Drug Arrest

 On August 20, 2014 at approximately 9:44am, Ptl. Jeanie Letts responded to a 911 call at the Wegman’s Food Store.  During an investigation it was determined that Leslie Mildenberg, 34 year old white female from Freehold Township,

who is unemployed, stole the purse of a 44 year old woman while she was food shopping inside the Wegman’s Store.  The victim saw Leslie take her purse from the shopping cart and began chasing after her, while yelling for someone to stop her.  A retired NYPD officer began chasing Leslie and at that time, Leslie gave up and sat on the ground in the Wegman’s Parking Lot.  Leslie was arrested for theft and was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Leslie was processed and released on a summons.

 14MN23839-Possession of Stolen Property/Hindering Apprehension

 On Wednesday August 20th, 2014 at approximately 9:33 pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta was on patrol on U.S Highway 9 south bound when alerted to a stolen New York license plate which was on a vehicle also traveling south bound. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the operator was identified as a 22 year old white male Jackson Township resident Axhi Balanca.  Axhi Balanca, who works as a roofer was later placed under arrest for receiving stolen property, the NY License Plates. During the investigation, a passenger identified as 29 year old male Fitim Balanca who also works as a roofer, provided false information to police and was determined to have an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of the Holmdel Municipal Court for $1,800.00. Fitim Balanca was also placed under arrest and charged with hindering apprehension, and the Holmdel Warrant. Both Axhi Balance and Fitim Balanca were processed at the Manalapan Township Police Department where Axhi Balanca was released on a complaint summons. Fitim Balanca was later released from police custody after posting the full bail amount. Patrolman Reginald Grant, Patrolman Sean McCarthy, and Patrolman Matthew Meyler assisted in the investigation and arrests. This case is pending a court appearance.   

 14MN23810- Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday August 20, 2014 at approximately 3:15 pm Ptl. John Lightbody and Ptl. Matthew Meyler responded to the Ocean County Jail to pick up Patrick Hughes, a 27 year old unemployed white male resident of Berkeley Township.  Hughes has an outstanding criminal warrant out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $501.00.  Hughes was transported to Monmouth County Correctional Institution pending a new court date with the Manalapan Township Municipal court.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the report.   

 14MN23755- CDS Arrest

 On August 20, 2014 at approximately 9:00 am Ptl. Seth Kreizman conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 9 south, after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The driver of the vehicle, Jay Mavadia a 24 year old Indian male debt specialist from Edison, NJ, was found to be in possession of Marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Mavadia was charged with possession of marijuanna under 50 grams, possession of drug paraphernalia, and also served with multiple traffic citations.  The arrest was handled by Ptl. Seth Kreizman.   

 14MN23669- Warrant Arrest

 On August 19, 2014 at approximately 3:15 pm Ptl. John Lightbody and Ptl. Chris Makwinski responded to Middlesex County Jail to transport a prisoner to Monmouth County Correctional Institution.  The subject, Drew Haley a 23 year old unemployed white male from South Carolina, was transported to Monmouth County Jail for an outstanding warrant from Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the report.   

 14MN23685- Theft

 On Tuesday, August, 19, 2014 at approximately 3:30 pm, a 44 year old male from Freehold contacted this agency to report a theft of landscaping equipment.  The victim advised that while mowing a customer’s lawn on Dancer Lane, unknown actor(s) removed two gas powered lawn edgers and one gas powered hedger totaling $1,300.  A witness advised that just prior to the theft, a white in color Honda Prelude was seen making several passes in the neighborhood.  The vehicle was operated by a white male possibly in his 30’s and also had a black male passenger possibly in his 30’s.  Anyone with information is requested to contact the investigating officer, Ptl.  14MN23661-Warrant Arrest

 On 8-19-14 at 12:30 pm Stephen Alberino Jr., a 29 year old white male from Staten Island NY, who is employed as a DJ, Turned himself in on an outstanding warrant. He posted $750 cash bail and was released with a new court date. Ptl Seth Kreizman handled the incident.   

 14MN23613 – Warrant Arrest

 On August 19, 2014 at approximately 09:00 AM, Patrolman Christopher Makwinski conducted a motor vehicle stop on Gordon’s Corner Road near Manor Court after observing a motor vehicle violation.  The driver identified as a Glenn Freeman, a white 30 year old male tennis instructor from Manalapan. Glenn was found to have a $75,000 no bail NCIC warrant from Monmouth County. Glenn was taken into police custody, processed and turned over to the Monmouth County Sheriffs Department.  

 14MN23695- Warrant Arrest

 On August 19th, 2014 at approximately 6:10 pm, Ptl. Adam Sosnowski conducted a motor vehicle stop on US Highway 9 after observing a motor vehicle violation. The driver, Edward Figueroa, a 28 year old Hispanic male from Union City, who is employed as a roofer, had two outstanding criminal warrants. One warrant was out of Jersey City for $7,500.00 and the other was out of Union City for $625.00.  Mr. Figueroa was arrested, processed, and turned over to the Jersey City Police Department.  Mr. Figueroa was also issued six motor vehicle summons with court mandatory court dates in Manalapan Township Municipal Court. 

 14MN23510- Burglary/Theft

 On Monday August 18, 2014 at approximately 11:35 am, a 50 year old resident of Knox Lane responded to Manalapan Township Police department to report a burglary to his residence.  The homeowner reported that on August 3, 2014 unknown actor(s) broke into his residence and stole a gold bracelet, a Tag Hauer watch and two iPads.  The gold bracelet is an ID bracelet valued at $200.00, the watch is valued at $800.00 and the iPads are valued at $200.00 each.  The victim reported there was forced entry through a rear window.  If anyone has any further information regarding this case they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department.  Ptl.  14MN23586- Warrant Arrest

 On August 18th, 2014 at approximately 11:52pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta conducted a motor vehicle stop on Park Avenue after observing a motor vehicle violation. The passenger identified as a 30 year old black male Matawan resident named Jeffery Ogoe, was determined to have an outstanding traffic warrant. The aforementioned warrant was issued out of the Perth Amboy Municipal Court for $55.00. Ogoe, who works as a production technician was arrested, processed, and released from police custody after posting bail. 

 14MN23495- Warrant Arrest

 On  08/18/2014 at approximately 9:30 AM, Terell Gray, a 29 year old unemployed black male from Manalapan NJ turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from Jersey City for $100.00. It was later found out that Terell had two additional warrants one from Jersey City for a $100.00 and a $3,000.00 warrant from Bayonne.  Gray posted the bail and was processed and released. Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.   

 14MN23504- Warrant Arrest

 On 8-18-14 at 10:22am, Jessica Sand, a 72 year old white female, employed as a professor, residing in Morganville, responded to this agency to turn herself in on an outstanding warrant. She posted $500 cash bail and was given a new court date. Ptl Seth Kreizman handled the incident.   

 14MN23431 – Theft

 On 08/17/2014 at approximately 5:30pm, a 50 year old white male from North Brunswick reported that he had his wallet stolen, while he was selling items at the Englishtown Auction.  The theft occurred at approximately 10:00 am this date.  The victim related that he left his wallet unattended on a table and it was removed.  The victim described the walled as a black leather wallet containing $829 in cash, an American Express Credit Card, his NJ Drivers License and Insurance Card.  Ptl. Eric Voorand is investigating the incident.  

    14MN23236 – Forgery, Obtaining by Fraud, Theft of Identity

 On 08-15-14 at 6:59pm, a 57 year old white male resident of Manalapan reported that an unknown male suspect had fraudulently obtained a prescription that the victim had dropped off at the CVS pharmacy located at 253 Gordons Corner Road.  The suspect provided the victim’s personal information to obtain the prescription from CVS.  This case is pending investigation.  Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky took the report. 

 14MN23202- Warrant Arrest

 On Friday August 15, 2014 at approximately 2:40 pm, Ptl. John Lightbody conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle on Smithburg Road in Manalapan Township.  The driver of the vehicle, Anthony Villanueva, a 24 year old white male fork lift driver residing in Jackson Twp, was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant out of Englishtown Borough Municipal Court for $164.00.  Villanueva was transported to the Manalapan Twp police department where he was processed released after posing bail.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest.

 14MN23189- Burglary/Theft

 On Friday August 15, 2014 at approximately 12:30 pm Ptl. John Lightbody responded to the Metro Gym located at 14 Wilson Ave. in Manalapan for a burglary report.  The owner reported that sometime during the night hours of August 14 unknown actor(s) broke into the office trailer of The Metro Gym and stole a television and an internet router.  The television is described as an Insignia Led TV valued at $700 and the router is a Verizon internet router valued at $150.  If anyone has any further information regarding this case they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department.  Ptl.  14MN23033- Credit Card Fraud/Warrant Arrest

 On Thursday August 14, 2014 at approximately 10:50 am the Manalapan Police Department arrested Sherif Michaels of 15 Cedar Court Manalapan, NJ (34 year old white unemployed male).  Sherif was charged with 5 counts of credit card fraud and he also had an outstanding traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1000.00.  Sherif was processed at the Manalapan Township Police Department and transported to Monmouth County Correctional Facility pending a court date with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest. 

 14MN22892- Theft of vehicle

 On Wednesday August 14, 2014 at approximately 10:57 am patrols responded to 6 Gramercy Lane for a report of a stolen vehicle.  The owner of the vehicle reported that her vehicle was stolen sometime between 8:00 pm on August 12 and 10:00 am on August 13.  The owner reported that the keys to the vehicle were inside the residence and they were also missing.  The vehicle is described as a 2006 white Lexus IS-350 with tinted windows NJ registration VAY29Y.  If anyone has any further information regarding this case they are asked to please contact the Manalapan Township Police Department.  Ptl.  14MN23045 – Warrant Arrest

 On 08/14/2014 at approximately 1:23PM, Juan Costillo a 41 year old Hispanic male Construction Worker from Toms River turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $750.00. Juan posted bail with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court, was processed and released.  Ptl Ross Dessel handled the arrest.  

 14MN23049 – Warrant Arrest

 On 08/14/2014 at approximately 12:59PM, John Millett a 23 year old white male Realtor from Manalapan turned himself in on a outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $500.00. John posted bail with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court, was processed and released.  Ptl Ross Dessel handled the arrest.  

 14MN22954-Criminal Mischief

 On Wednesday August 13, 2014 at 5:13pm, this agency responded to the Pack and Ship Store in the Home Fashion Center on Route 9.  The owner related that sometime during the overnight hours of August 10th into the 11th someone damaged his store sign on the grass near Route 9.  There were no witnesses to the incident.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella investigated the incident.

 14MN22959- Burglary

 On Wednesday August 13th 2014 at 5:35pm, this agency responded to 14 Country Oaks Dr. for a burglary to a residence.  Investigation revealed the back door of the residence was kicked in however it does not appear that entry was made into the residence past the door.  An alarm to the residence went off at 12:59pm however was subsequently cancelled by the homeowner believing it was a false alarm.  There were no witnesses in the area.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella investigated the incident.

 14MN22883- Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday August 13, 2014 at approximately 8:40 am the New Jersey State Police arrested Evgueni St-onge, a 22 year old white salesman from Spotswood, NJ, on an active traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township, NJ for $430.00.  St-onge was transported to the Manalapan Township Police department where he was processed and was able to post bail.  St-onge was released pending a court date at the Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the arrest.

 14MN22873 – Burglary to Motor Vehicle; Theft by Unlawful Taking; Criminal Trespass; Possession of Burglary Tools

 On Wednesday August 13, 2014, at 4:05 AM, a Valley Road resident reported that he observed a male suspect wearing a black hoodie style sweatshirt burglarizing his locked vehicle that was parked in his driveway.  The suspect, later identified as Ethan G. Clare (18 year old, unemployed, white male) of  Hillcrest Road, Manalapan, was at the residence when patrols arrived.  Clare was placed under arrest and transported to police headquarters where he was charged with Burglary to Motor Vehicle; Theft by Unlawful Taking; Possession of Burglary Tools; and Criminal Trespass.  The investigation revealed that Clare was responsible for numerous burglaries to this same vehicle.  Clare stole an extra vehicle key several months ago from the interior of the victim’s vehicle and he would unlock the secured doors during each of the previous burglary incidents.  Clare was in possession of the stolen key along with $10.98 in coins during the time of his arrest.  The victim reported a total loss from this one particular vehicle, including previous burglaries, to be over $1,000.00 including a GPS unit.  Clare was processed and released with multiple summonses.  He is scheduled to appear at the Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Ptl Dennis O’Brien handled the arrest.  Sgt Edward Niesz, Ptl George Heitz, Ptl Kimberly Whitehill, Ptl Morgan Joiner and Det Dominick Donatelli, Jr. assisted with the investigation.

 14MN22828 – Warrant Arrest

 On Tuesday 08/12/2014 at approximately 2:47 PM, Shawn Smith (a 45-year-old white male construction worker from Manalapan) turned himself in on a outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $240.00. Shawn posted bail with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court, was processed and released.  Ptl Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest. 

 14MN22721-Warrant Arrest

 On Monday 08/11/2014 at approximately 2:30 PM, Chester Cardenas (50-year-old Hispanic male from Englishtown NJ) turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant Manalapan. Chester was found to have an outstanding warrant for $164.00. Chester posted bail, was processed, and released.  Ptl Bart Mattaliano handled the report.

 14MN22710- Theft

 On Monday 8-11-14 at approximately 10:00 a.m., Ptl. B Mattaliano responded to Sports Authority in reference to a shoplifting incident.  Upon arrival it was reported that two white males entered the store and removed approximately $1,000.00 worth of merchandise, specifically golf clubs, from inside the store.  Anyone with additional information is encouraged to contact the Manalapan Police.  Ptl. Bart Mattaliano handled the report.  

 14MN22712 – Warrant Arrest

 On Monday 08/11/2014 at approximately 11:15 a.m., Michael J Dentici (a 60-year-old white male employed as an accountant from Warren NJ) turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant for $195.00 from this agency.  Michael posted bail, was processed and released with a new court date.  Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the report.

 14MN22703 – Warrant Arrest

   On Monday August 11, 2014 at 9:00 am, Donaella Fana (47 year old self employed white female, Manalapan Resident) turned herself in for an outstanding warrant out of Springfield Twp NJ. for $120.00. Donaella was processed, posted full bail and was released pending court. Ptl. Charles Mazzatto processed the arrestee. 

 14MN22620 – Theft of Property

 On 08/10/2014 at approximately 2:30 p.m., the owner of a landscaping company (a 52-year-old white male from Freehold) reported that an orange backpack blower was stolen from him while he was landscaping on Thursday 08/07/2014. The blower was last seen at a residence on Appaloosa Drive.  The suspect was identified by neighbors as a white male.  Anyone with further information is encouraged to contact the Manalapan Police Department.  This incident is being investigated by Patrolman Christopher Makwinski.

 14MN22578 – Warrant Arrest

 On Sunday August 10, 2014 at approximately 1:20pm Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. The driver, Willie Williams, 59 year old black male self employed, Jackson resident was found to have an active child support warrant out of Essex County for $12,592.00. Mr. Williams was arrested, transported to headquarters, processed, and then turned over to Monmouth County Sheriffs Office until Essex County could arrange a pick up.

 14MN22531- Burglary/Theft

 On August 9, 2014 at approximately 1:15PM, Ptl. Joseph DeFilippis responded to a residence on Church Lane for a report of theft. A 51 year old, white male from Manalapan reported unknown actor(s) removed multiple pieces of landscape equipment valued at $1000.00. The items were left unsecured in a trailer and removed sometime between August 8, 2014 at 5:00PM and August 9, 2014 at 9:00AM.  Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Manalapan Police (732)446-4300. 

 14MN22483- Warrant Arrest

 On Friday August 8th, 2014 at approximately 10:22pm Patrolman Philip Accatatta and Patrolman Bryan Belardo responded to the Union Township Police Department for a prisoner transport. Upon arrival, a 24 year old white male Monroe resident Paul J Clawges was placed under arrest for an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of the Manalapan Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00. Clawges, who works as a fork lift operator was arrested, processed, and transported to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution in default of bail. Patrolman Philip Accatatta handled the arrest.

 14MN22437--- Warrant Arrest

 On 8-8-14 Ptl. Bart Mattaliano responded to 41 Deer Way in reference to a welfare check of the resident Alan Ladd (38 yr old white male Manalapan Resident Unemployed).  While on the welfare check it was determined that Ladd had an outstanding child support warrant out of Monmouth County.  Ladd was arrested, processed and lodged in Monmouth County Correctional Institution.  Ptl. Bart Mattaliano handled the report. 

 14MN22469—Narcotics Arrest

 On 8-8-14 at approximately 4:40pm Ptl. Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on US 9 in the area of Taylors Mills Road.  During the motor vehicle stop it was determined that the three occupants in the vehicle Eswar Ortega (30 yr old Hispanic male unemployed Staten Island residence), David Guadarrama (31 yr old Hispanic male unemployed Staten Island residence) and Abraham Ramirez (29 yr old Hispanic male unemployed Staten Island residence) were in possession of marijuana and prescription pills.  All subjects were arrested, processed and released on summonses.  Ptl. Bart Mattaliano handled the report. 

 14MN22474- Burglary/ Theft

 On Friday, August 8, 2014, Ptl. Richard Gallo responded to an Arrowood Road address for a burglary/theft report.  Unknown actor(s) forcibly entered an outdoor storage closet at the residence and removed various property totaling $400.  The incident took place between Monday, August 4, 2014 and Friday, August 8, 2014.  Anyone with information regarding this incident is requested to contact the Manalapan Twp. Police Department. 

 14MN22406- Theft

 On Friday, 08/08/2014, Ptl. Jason Vigneault responded to a Covered Bridge address for a report of a theft.  The homeowner, a 74 year old white female Manalapan resident, reported that she believes that her aid may have taken medication which comes in individual packets for daily consumption.  A call to the company who provides that aids was not returned.  The pills in question are some vitamins along with some prescription medication for various ailments.  This incident was handled by Ptl. Jason Vigneault .

 14MN22444 – Theft of Property

 On Friday, 08/08/2014 at 2:08pm Ptl. Dessel responded to a Fallswood Lane address for a report of a theft.  The homeowner, a 53 year old white female Manalapan resident, reported her 17yo sons Ray Ban prescription sunglasses were stolen from her residence.  Victim related that the glasses were last seen approximately a week ago, and could not think of anyone that would have taken them.  This incident was handled by Ptl. Dessel.

 14MN22443- Warrant Arrest

 On August 8, 2014, 2014 at 3:54 PM, Robert Ilaria (58 year old, white, male, Berkley Twp Resident, unemployed) was arrested in Toms River Township for an active $1,000.00 traffic warrant out of Manalapan Township. He was later transported to MCCI where he remanded. This incident was handled by Ptl. Reggie Grant. 

 14MN22386 – Warrant Arrest

 On Aug 7, 2014 at 9:24 PM, Michael Rocchi (22 year old, white, male, Manalapan Resident, self employed) was arrested by Ptl. Christopher Oleksy for an outstanding warrant out of Tinton Falls for a total of $1,000.00.  Michael was processed, posted full bail, and was released pending court.

 14MN22359 – Warrant Arrest

  On Aug. 7, 2014 at 6:39 pm, Patrick O’Hara (26 year old white male Manalapan resident, unemployed) was arrested on Kristin Court by Ptl. Kevin Ruditsky for an outstanding warrant issued for violation of the Intensive Supervision Program.  O’Hara was processed and remanded to the Monmouth County Correctional Institution.  

 14MN22368 – Warrant Arrest

  On Aug. 7, 2014 at 5:45 pm Andrew Vassallo (23 year old white male Manalapan resident, unemployed) turned himself into police headquarters on a traffic warrant for $300.00 issued by Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  He was processed and released after posting bail.  Ptl. Bryan Belardo handled the arrest.

 14MN22354 – Narcotics Arrest

 On Thursday, August 7, 2014 at approximately 2:36 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy and Ptl. Ken Mikulik conducted a motor vehicle stop in the area of Taylors Mills Road and Greenfield Road.  Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver and passenger were in possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.  Both the driver and passenger were juveniles and were each arrested.  At the Manalapan Township Police headquarters they were processed and released into the custody of their parents.  Multiple motor vehicle summonses were issued and criminal charges are pending.  Ptl. Sean McCarthy was the arresting officer. 

 14MN22237- Theft of Property

 On Wednesday August 6, 2014 at approximately 2:40 pm Ptl. John Lightbody responded to 4 Sherri Drive for a theft report.  The owner of a landscape company reported that his company was doing work on the yard and an unknown actor(s) took a leaf blower off of the truck.  The leaf blower is valued at $450.00 and is described as a Husqverna back pack style leaf blower.  Anyone with and additional information regarding this incident is asked to contact the Manalapan Twp. Police Department.  Ptl. John Lightbody handled the report.

 14MN22279 – Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday August 6, 2014 at approximately 8:55pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler initiated a motor vehicle stop in the area of Us Highway 9 and Craig Road. The driver of the vehicle, Nancy A. Remite (57 year old white female Freehold resident, who is employed as an office manager) was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant out of East Brunswick in the amount of $120.00. Remite was arrested, transported to headquarters, where she was processed and released upon posting cash bail in full.

14MN22273 – Warrant Arrest

 On August 6, 2014 at approximately 7:12 pm, Lizette Bencosme (36 year old Hispanic female Perth Amboy resident, unemployed) responded to Police Headquarters to turn herself in on a $1,000.00 outstanding traffic warrant.  Bencosme was processed at headquarters where she posted bail and was released.  Ptl. Bryan Belardo handled the incident.

 14MN22241- Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday August 6, 2014 at approximately 3:08 pm, Sejfudin Koleci, a white 30 year old male and Manalapan Township resident who works as a building plan service provider, turned himself into the Manalapan Township Court for an outstanding traffic warrant issued out of Manalapan Township.  Koleci posted bail in the amount of $1,000.00 with the Manalapan Township Municipal Court.  Koleci was then processed and released.  Ptl. Sean McCarthy handled the arrest. 

 14MN22212---Warrant Arrest

  On Wednesday August 6, 2014 at approximately 12:00 pm, Ptl. Bart Mattaliano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Highway 33 West in the area of Millhurst Road.  The passenger of the vehicle, Shalonda Maples, (29-year-old, unemployed black female, Brick Township resident) was found to have an outstanding traffic warrant out of Brick, NJ.  Shalonda was arrested, processed and transferred to Brick Township Police Department.  Ptl. Mattaliano handled the arrest. 

 14MN22183 – Warrant Arrest

 On Wednesday August 6, 2014 at approximately 10:00 am, Ptl. Kyle Earley conducted a motor vehicle stop on a 1995 Ford Van on Route 33. The driver, Howard Frank, (55 year old white male, auto mechanic from Hatfield, PA) was found to have an active traffic warrant for $630 from East Windsor and a suspended driver’s license. Mr. Frank was arrested, processed then released after posting full bail. Mr. Frank was issued summons and given a new court date. 

 14MN22123- Fraud

 On Tuesday August 5, 2014 at 7:15pm, this agency responded to Stop and Shop for a female subject who attempted to pass a counterfeit $100.00 American Express traveler check.  When the store clerk asked the manager to get involved the female left the store.  She was described as a heavy set black female approximately 25-30 yrs of age.  Ptl. Anthony Cascella handled the investigation. 

 14MN22126 – Warrant Arrest

 On Monday August 5, 2014 at approximately 9:10pm, Ptl. Matthew Meyler arrested Austin B. Mongiello, a 25 year old white male Manalapan Township resident who is employed as a salesman, on an outstanding $100.00 traffic warrant out of Kearny. Mongiello posted bail in full and was released. 

 14MN22023-Warrant Arrest

 On Monday August 4th, 2014 at approximately 6:02pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta and Brian Cruse responded to a Longwood Drive residence for a call for service. While on scene, it was determined Justin E Zaleski, a 34 year old white male Manalapan resident had an outstanding arrest warrant issued out of the Monroe Township Municipal Court for $1,000.00. Zaleski who is currently unemployed was arrested, processed, and released from police custody pending a court date after posting bail. Patrolman Philip Accatatta handled the incident.

 14MN21998- Warrant Arrest

 On 08/04/2014 at 2:26pm, Kimberly Borden, a 21 year old Hispanic female from Freehold Twp who is a clothing store manager, turned herself in to this agency on an outstanding warrant from Manalapan Twp. Borden posted $164 cash bail and signed a bail waiver. She was processed and released. Ptl Seth Kreizman handled the incident. 

 14MN21987 Warrant Arrest

 On Monday, August 04, 2014 at 12:44 pm Sharon Tal, a 35 year old self employed white male from Ocean Township turned  himself in on an active outstanding warrant from this agency for $500.00. Sharon posted bail, was processed, and released. Ptl .Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.  

 14MN21983 Warrant Arrest

 On Monday, August 04, 2014 at 11:58 AM Luisa Bursey a 39 year old Hispanic female Marketing Manager from Manalapan Township turned herself in to Manalapan Police on two outstanding traffic warrants from outside agencies. Luisa had an outstanding traffic warrant from Monmouth Junction for $164.00, and another outstanding traffic warrant from Piscataway Township fro $145.00. Luisa posted bail, was processed, and released. Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.  

 14MN21972 Warrant Arrest

 On Monday, August 04, 2014 at 10:25 AM Jesus Balderas-Sanchez a 37 year old Hispanic male labor worker from Atlantic City turned himself in on an outstanding traffic warrant from this agency for $164.00. Jesus posted bail, was processed and released. Ptl. Christopher Makwinski handled the arrest.

 14MN21864 Burglary to a Vehicle

 On Sunday 08-03-14 at 5:29 am Ptl. Steven Turner responded to Valley Road residence for a report of burglary to a motor vehicle.  The resident’s vehicle was parked and unlocked in the victim’s driveway.  The victim observed an individual approximately 6’ and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt fleeing the area on foot.  The actor fled the area in an unknown direction after removing cash from the vehicle.  Anyone with any information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Police Department.

 14MN21871 - Warrant Arrest

 On August 03, 2014 at 11:18 am, John Thomas 11/22/1947 (66 year old white male Trenton, NJ resident unemployed) was arrested in Florence Township. He was then transported to this agency on an active traffic warrant out of Manalapan Twp.  He was remanded to Monmouth County Jail.  Incident handled by Ptl. Peter Curran.  

 14MN21859  Criminal Mischief

 On Sunday 08-02-14 at 1:45 am Ptl. Steven Turner responded to Rifken Court for a report of a motor vehicle driving across a resident’s yard and into their garage door.  The resident was unable to provide any additional information.  The investigation revealed tire tracks across the front yard leading to the garage door, which appeared to be impacted by the motor vehicle in question.  The actor(s) and motor vehicle in question fled the area prior to this agency arriving on scene.  Anyone with additional information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Twp. Police Department.

 14MN21851  Burglary to a Motor Vehicle

 On Saturday 08-02-14 at approximately 11:15pm Ptl. Steven Turner responded to the Battelground Country Club located on Millhurst Road on a report of a burglary to a motor vehicle.  The victim, a New Hampshire resident, reported that his vehicle was parked at the business and reported that a radar detector had been removed from his motor vehicle.  No additional contents were reported missing.  Anyone with any additional information regarding this incident is asked to please contact the Manalapan Twp. Police Department. 1

 14MN21840 – Warrant Arrest

 On Saturday, August 2nd, 2014 at approximately 9:00 pm, Ptl. Kimberly Whitehill affected a motor vehicle stop on a vehicle on Route 9 North in Manalapan Township for a Motor Vehicle Violation.  The driver, identified as Jeremy T. Cobb, a 25-year old black male resident of Orange, NJ who works as a ride operator, was found to have an outstanding warrant issued by Caldwell Boro Municipal Court in the amount of $81.00 and an outstanding warrant issued by Newark Municipal Court in the amount of $100.00.  Mr. Cobb was subsequently placed under arrest and transported to Manalapan Police Headquarters where he was processed and released after posting bail.  Ptl. Kimberly Whitehill made the arrest.   

 14MN21820- Driving While Intoxicated

 On Saturday August 2nd, 2014 at approximately 2:55pm, Patrolman Philip Accatatta, Patrolman Jeffrey Emslie, and Patrolman Reginald Grant responded to the area of Monmouth Road in regards to a vehicle operating without a tire. Upon arrival, the operator was identified as 54 year old white male Jackson resident Vincint J Matarazzo 3rd. Matarazzo , who works as a paper delivery man advised he had been operating his vehicle for an unknown distance without a tire on the front driver side wheel. Matarazzo was later placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Maarazzo processed, and released from police custody pending a court date. Patrolman Philip Accatatta is the arresting officer.

 14MN21737 – Narcotics Arrest

 On Friday, August 1, 2014 at approximately 1:56 pm, Ptl. Sean McCarthy and Ptl. Ken Mikulik responded to the area of Route 33 and Sweetmans Lane for a report of a motor vehicle accident.  Upon further investigation, it was determined the driver and a passenger of one of the vehicles involved were in possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and alcohol.  Both juveniles involved were arrested and transported to police headquarters where they were processed and released into the custody of their parents.  Multiple motor vehicle summonses were issued and criminal charges are pending.
